Late to the Game The Queen's Blade
Picked it up Vol.1 of this series. I liked it, the only thing that gets me is how the release is being done here in the states. Vol. 2 is set for a late Oct release and the part that gets me is that Vol. 3 and the completed series will be released later, WHY? I say if you're going to release the whole series as a collected volume then release it vs. releasing a few volumes and then spring a completed volume at the release of the final volume.

I'm not a huge anime fan, but this looked quirky enough to get my attention. If you have any sort of anime-girl related fetish, there's pretty much a character for it in the series. Plenty of fanservice, lots of silliness, plenty of action and it also had some hidden depths to characterization and the overall storyline. Overall, a surprisingly enjoyable series.
I picked up some of the Revoltech figures as well. Definitely not for kids, but pretty fun. I, uh, don't think I'll be incorporating them into my Muppet Show photo-comic, though.

Digging what I saw on Crunchy roll, and it will be part of my DVD acquisitions soon enough
I'm waiting for the box set myself. I think the first eps is up free to watch on Media Blasters website. I think.
"And for us this is the end of all stories, and we can mostly say they lived happily ever after. But for them it was the beginning of the real story. All there life in this world and all there adventures in Narnia had only be the cover and the title page: now at last they were beginning Chapter One of The Great Story which no one on earth has ever read: which goes on forever: in which every chapter is better than the one before" - C.S Lewis, The Last Battle.
Huh. Looks interesting.
I just finished Claymore m'self. Aside from also featuring a lot of female warriors fighting, it is... decidedly different in focus.

I see myself as witty, urbane, highly talented, hugely successful with a keen sense of style. Plus of course my own special brand of modesty.

I generally give everything an episode or two to see if it can live up to or overcome my expectations. To me, the gratutious amounts of fan service and needless nudity coupled with a thin plot meant dropping this one quick.
Also, there's a character that attacks by squeezing some sort of acidic milk out of her breasts. It's pretty tasteless.
So I decided to check this out on Netflix instant watch out of boredom...
...what the hell did I just watch? Was that supposed to be porn? Or was it trying to be some sort of parody of Shonen anime? Or was it just trying to be stupid?
I'm going to go with the third one.
Thus far I've found the anime to be cheesy-bad, but in a way such that I have to watch it because I can't believe how silly it is.

Farewell is like the end
But in my heart's the memory
And there you'll always be

I discovered this anime on Netflix instant view.

I gave the wiki instead of the IMBD link, clearly.
The basic premise is that every 4 years, the Gods have decreed The Queen's Blade Tournament, where hopefuls battle to win the prize of Queen of the Land. The anime follows various characters, though the one focused on when I watched it was Leine Vance, a young woman that is heir to the COunt Vance, and who want's nothing to do with the title.
Where as I would love to give descriptions of the anime, I would get hit with the ban stick if I did. To be frank, there is alot of 'fan service ' in this one. Questionable positions and loads of female nudity.
Netflix only has the first 4 episodes, but it is intriquing enough that my wife and I are looking to watch the rest of the series.
