Your opinion: The most heroic powersets?
Most heroic...to me...
Super Strength...Willpower
Assault Rifle
SS + Second animation set = Most heroic, "I can take anything on" set to me.
Stone Melee has a certain heroic crunch to it.
Force Field and Empathy, too. At least for the protector-type heroism.
Let me never fall into the vulgar mistake of dreaming that I am persecuted whenever I am contradicted.

Super Strength is probably the most typical "super hero" type of powerset, in my opinion anyway.
As for secondary, it's either Willp or Invul.
Empathy sounds pretty heroic to me too.
What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.
Peacebringer. It just makes me think "Beacon of light, shining hope of the world."
But then I go play my warshade because I don't like disco balls.
Where to now?

don'T attempt to read tHis mEssaGe, And believe Me, it is not a codE.
The melee ATs always seems to feel the most heroic, in that they they aren't squishie.
It also sounds like you want want can be considered the less lethal of the sets...
Super Strength, Stone Melee, Energy Melee, Kinetic Melee, and Electric Melee have that, while maintaining a super power feeling (Mace as a weapon is why I didn't put it in).
For the defense options, anything but Dark Armor or Fire Armor.

For the whole, feels like you could stop a bus rushing at you, Gravity.
Radiation/Dark Corruptor - I mean lasers from your eyes?
I color my Dark powers a nice Green and now you have something that knocks down defense and resistance, slows them down and stuns them.
It is VERY heroic looking. I made mine a golden age type named Shade of a Dark Sun. Think Doctor Strange like.
MA/SR, MA/WP, or MA/Invuln.
For a war hero, AR/Dev or Traps. Maybe use dual pistols instead.
For a fantasy hero, Broadsword, Axe, or Mace/Shield Defense.
For a feudal Japan hero, Katana/WP, SR, Invuln.
For a real Hero feel, sort of like Superman, where you subdue but don't actually KILL anyone I'd go with ..
MA/WP .... gives your scrapper sort of a Bruce Lee as Kato feel
MA/REG ... Sort of the same as above only you have the ability to heal yourself
SD/SS ... I love this set which give you sort of a Capt. America feel
INV/SS .. Definately give the impression of Superman
KM/WP ... Another along the lines of Martial arts
What all these , along with any other combinations like them , have in common is the Hero has no weapon and uses nothing but bare hands and fighting skill to defeat enemies. Yes I know SD has Sheild Charge but that's still just basically hurling yourself forward into your foes and using the sheild to protect yourself and add to the damage.. it is NOT an Assualt Rifle LOL
Were always the good guys. In D&D, were lawful good. In City of Heroes were the heroes. In Grand Theft Auto we pay the prostitutes promptly and never hit them with a bat. Leonard
Those women are prostitutes? You said they were raising money for stem cell research! Sheldon
What do you think they are? I'm looking to create an ideal here, so I need some shining beacons of example.
I think anything heavily influenced with Energy can pull it off, but what else? I would imagine the most likely sets are the usual suspects, the Invulnerability, Super Strength, Energy Melee, Energy Blast, but what about the less obvious? The sets that maybe become more noble-looking with some crafty color customization?
Thanks!
