4 why on earth? Both sets are just awesome.

You obviously have no idea how to play all the AT's correctly.

I stayed away from fire armor for years because people would tell me 'fire armor sucks' etc etc. About a year or so back, I made a fire/fire/fire scrapper, got it leveling, found I was having a ball! Got it to 50 and set it out. went with +Regen +Hp +Recharge, after all, a scrapper, I want moar damage quicker right .

So then I got to thinking.. Hmm.. how bout the tanker equivalent

On another server I started leveling up a fire/fire (then later /fire!) tanker. It is currently lvl 47, got a couple of set bonuses (building like my scrapper actually), and it melts mobs like mad. Come Issue 19, I have tweaked its build to include, Burn, Combustion, Fire Sword Circle, Fireball , and if that still isn't enough AoE carnage, don't forget Blazing Aura and Consume, just for the heck of it

Happy Tanking.

I've actually adjusted my Fire/Fire's defensive build so he only has FSC and Burn (well, Consume as well, but I count that more for end recovery than AOE damage). I dumped Combustion for Burn on both of my builds, as Burn is just that much better. My offensive build has Fireball as well, but to be honest, Burn and FSC (with Blazing Aura in there as well) melts things amazingly well.

I'd grab more if I could, but we only have so many slots!

As I write this, I was logging in as Orangah, my Fire/Fire/Pyre tank to make her i19 compliant.

Need to go back and update my guide. Can't finish until they update mids for the Alpha slot, but I can at least chat things over, as there are a lot of new things for Fiery Aura and Fire/Fire types to think over.

Right now I am going with 2 uncommon on my Fire/Fire, Nerve Radial was done first to offset Kinetic Combats bad ACC without having to add slots and for solo soft capping. Cardiac Radial just because I have lots of shards and wanted to see if the +res made any difference ( not finished yet )

I decided to recpec first and drop 2 of my Knockback enh and slots and take Acrobatics, I also decided to keep 1 Zephyr as I was going to take SJ for Acrobatics anyway and thought that 13 protection would be better than 9 for AV's. I also took Conserve Power and Physical Perfection with 2 Numi's and a PS +end to help with recovery. Well I must say I have zero end issues with the new toggle and Nerve Radial slotted, It must be the combination of PP with a PS +end, +end Accolades, Numina and Miracle because my bar hardly moves even with a 1.33/s end usage. I rarely if ever need to use Consume let alone Conserve so I am happy as heck! I can hit now and it gave me almost a full 1 point def putting me from 43.8 s/l to 44.66 s/l and 43.2 melee to 44 melee.

( yes I use both s/l and melee as I have tried separate and both. I prefer both to mitigate the melee attacks not covered by s/l defense like energy/cold with no smashing component and toxic/psi with a melee component. I have done countless Carnie, Rikti and Arachnoid missions testing damage with and without and it makes a huge difference in damage. )

Fire/Fire is definitely good. I made mine when they changed Burn to have a fear effect. I can't remember how long ago that was but Lava Flo made lvl 50 a couple months after creation.

I just respec'd her today into Pyre, from Earth mastery.

I dont have Pyre anymore. I dropped it for the Energy pool to get Physical Perfection. Sometimes I miss it but with IO's he is soooooooooo much more survivable now.
