Segway's Owner Segues into the Afterlife on a Segway

Best Headline ever? Maybe not, but best I've seen in a while. Death is sad, but I can't help laughing. I'm a bad lemur.

Ouch sucks, but yes, great article title.

The guy was a very good man from all accounts. I wish his family all comfort in this trying time.

Clever title, though.

I know this'll sound a bit morbid but just about the only way this story could have been "better" from the irony point of view was if it had been the original designer of the Segway who had the accident. It's really too bad anyone had to die that way, but for it to be the guy who just happened to be the current head of the company and not the original designer guy sort of dilutes the overall "ironic" quality a bit.

Still this will be one of those stories that'll last forever regardless because of the "it figures" factor.

What I want to know is how you end up driving one of those off a cliff.

Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.

They have an off-road model. He was on one of those, not the type you see mall security or Adam Savage (mythbusters) tooling around on.

In a completely unrelated thought, if there's irony related to the selection of actors for a part, does that make it cast irony?

Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.

The most ironic for me? One of the companies he owned makes... wait for it.... Roadside barriers.
