amusing true story:
so I make an alt for the new SG, a plant controller who's been rolling around in my head for a while. Get the costume right, hit Atlas Park and before I can even pull up my global friends list to see if Fulmens is around I get a tell from someone recruiting for their SG, on the basis of my long trail of vet badges.
I respectfully declined. Let me just say any pronouncements of Guardian being a 'dead' server are premature.

Oh yeah. Tough to find Super-Heroish names on Guardian too. Pulse was taken and so was my standby Pulse'.

oh also, I've got one more alt in me- is there any niche I should aim at for the good of the SG? Any totally un-soloable support combo that would be wildly powerful when combined with my trusty SG mates?

Ok, I cranked up a very old alt of mine to see what the top SGs on Guardian are, prestige wise.
I'll totally add 1 bill to the till, but...
How hard could it be to earn enough money in the marketplace to gain the top spot? (answer: totally freaking hard, but a major challenge) 176mm prestige, call it 88bn in influence, with all members making it happen?
I'm in. Sending global friend now Fulmens.

Ya know...the idea of buying a spot in the top 100 seemed pedantic to me...
But if the goal were to be changed to buying the top spot with the power of marketeering....well that might be something Id be in for....our SG motto would be something like "...it turns out, money can buy everything"
So Fulmens would that be a big enough inf destruction project?

Hi That was me playing around in the base yesturday. I always need a rez ring at early lvls. Makes dying so much more convenient.

I picked up all the teleport beacons but RWZ, I'll get that later.
Also just remembered I'll have to go on a Ship raid for the last RWZ badge.
Oh and pocket d, can't get that one until an event that opens up the chalet.

Thank you to whoever placed the beacons. Meant to do that but lazy cause I'm like lvl 5.

I placed the beacons and rearranged the teleporters. Also placed a starter base item (that combo power/control thing) because we were short on control a bit, and it seemed like the quickest/easiest way to get control back. I haven't checked if we have the supercomputer badge to be able to get the second tier control item.
The autonomous expert system plans will come eventually, since the badge is just from dealing damage to enemies. I think current progress is at about 10%ish on that one.
I want a dimensional vortex (top tier magic energy item) eventually, but that seems annoying considering the badge to unlock it is 250 pvp kills. Not something that would be gotten through normal play.
Sure, I doubt we'd ever really need that much power, but it looks cool and we can afford it.
Oh yeah, there's some areas where you have a bunch of items strewn about and stuff and it looks unfinished. Going to finish those spots eventually?

Originally I planned to use the Vet bows and guns and stuff for museum pieces on my stairw wells. Changed my mind a couple of times since then so I';; make sure to make them go away. THey kept getting in my way too 
Drew a picture of what I wanted to do on the way home so hopefully the structure will begin to take more shape.
