I ran across this also; I logged out completely, then restarted the client, that was the only way I could get my mission to reset.

Just tested it and worked fine here. There have always been occasions that resetting a mission didn't work. Try logging out and back in again. It should be reset at that point. Or try abandoning the mission and retaking it, though in that case the mission may end up at a different place.

You could try to use "/leaveteam" and see if that resets it when you go back in.

Naturally, when you DON'T want it to reset, it will reset. I had CoH crash earlier. I restarted and got back in the mission in well under one minute and it had reset.

I believe exiting the game while in a mission (if you are solo) will always reset the mission, whether you exit normally or via crash.

Nows, if I abandon the mission I just have to return to the contact and it'll be available again right? I wont have to start the arc over or anything? I thought about auto completing but I'm trying to -earn- my merits and badges.

You need to "unspawn" the mission to abandon it, if you've already entered it. Typing in /leaveteam or setting another mission will do that. You can also log out, but there's no real reason to.
It's a good way to ditch the surprise cave missions in radios or other annoyances you'd rather not deal with.

I was running and mission and I left because I wanted to reset it and start over. You used to be able to do that but now no matter how many times I reset it, the mission retains it's progress. Was there a patch or something that prevents people from resetting their missions?
