The Chain Gun is awesome, I'd love to see it elsewhere! Epic power pool, new primary set, or even just an assault rifle model, it would be pretty cool.
Is it actually a cone like the power icon shows it to be? I tried it a few times but couldn't hit more than one...didn't try it on that many since the character would never shoot anyone much less pull out a sleek rifle and fill someone's head with lead.

However it is one of the most powerful temp power single target attacks available considering it will 1-shot most minions and carve off a good chunk of health for anything higher.

I was very disappointed that it was single target, and kept gleefully trying to line up targets into a cone.
With that said, I see no reason why it couldn't be a temp power that drops. It does high damage, has inherent accuracy, but it's a single target power with a longish cast time and it roots. Sounds plenty balanced to me.

There are several Elite Bosses my character wouldn't have been able to beat if it hadn't been for Sasha. So yes to craftable Chain Guns.

And yes, I will /sign this.
I want more craftable temp powers, temp powers that you can grab from various mission maps (hey, some Arachnos maps have freakin' armories), and so forth.
It would all be in an issue called: City of Heroes/villains: Locked and Loaded.

Having played in Prae, I love the Chain Gun!
Please make it available as a Temp Power recipe so I can always have one! I'd even go along with a damage nerf or recharge increase, if that would be required. The thing just looks friggen cool.
Or, even better, give me a PPD epic with it as a power. Or, a PPD power pool.
