It looks nothing like Bowser as the article suggests, other than the horns, cool find though.
I'm starting to thing Civilization started largely to keep safe from crazy dangerous animals that make today's beast look like a joke.

Even before I read anything, within a second of seeing it, I made the connection.

About the right size too.
Now Thats a big turtle.
So, it was recently discovered that an extinct species of turtle that was supposed to have died off 50,000 years ago, the Meiolania platyceps, actually died off as little as 3,000 years ago. Now, this isn't the most important factor. What IS the most important factor is just what the skeleton of said extinct turtle resembles.
My mind, it is teh blown.
