I'm a new player on CoH, and at the moment waiting for it to finish updating (est: 6 hours to go) so thought I'd say hi. I am an experienced MMO player but wanted to try this game, so yeh, hi

also what would be the best server?

Thanks for info. looking for friendly and relaxed server really hopefully english in europe.

If you're looking for an English language server in Europe, then Defiant and Union are the two ones there - Union has quite a few RPers, and Defiant is just generally awesome - it's my home server in Europe

ok so defiant or union hmm... well i think we should have a vote that will last 2 and half hours til the game finishes updating.

I would like to mention that you can have multiple characters on multiple servers, as this game is alt-friendly to the point of rewarding alt-itis in some cases. So "Both" is an option.

I vote "Both" if write-ins are allowed, but "Union" if not.

write ins are allowed and I decided to buy instead of do the trial. I'm like that.

Make characters on both. LOTS of characters on both.

Global channels mean you don't need to be wedded to a particular server.

Union as it's awesome and i'm there

But like BBQ Pork said, Try both and see whats right for you!

If you do join union make sure you sign up for Union Chat and Sals Badgehunters channels for plenty of people willing to help and advise!

But whatever server you join, join the Europe United channel. It's a new channel designed to unite all the european servers for events and such like!

Well i'm on the EU servers and for me union seems to have a bit more of a population though with the recent free server transfers that may not be true anymore. If you decide to try Union out i highly recommend joining 3 chat channels most of us are on which are:

Sals Badgehunters
Union TaskForce
Union Chat

right click your chat box then the option "join channel", type in one of those and hit ok and your sorted

Defiant has their own channels i'm sure but a Defiant-ite will have to let you know which they are.
