So i just posted in the brute section asking about build help for a farming toon.
I reside on virtue, somebody replied and told me to stop by here?
He used the term 'throwing around inf'.I've come back to cov/coh and realized i had no cash i so i have to make a moneymaking toon.
But if anyone is willing to throw some inf my way i'd be appreciative

I don't mind throwing you some seed money. It'll have to wait until the merger though, because I'm Blueside. If you don't want to wait, you can easily make a couple million in an hour of looking for cheap Common IO 45-50 Recipes and vendoring them for 2x-100x what you buy them for. That's enough to get you started crafting or flipping small game. Then again, you can probably make more faster by running some AE and rolling the tickets. I wouldn't know, my highest character since returning is 19.

I'm fine with waiting, i'm really not in a rush for money just want to be able to make some when i need some though. Just buy recipes, find salvage, craft, sell high... rinse&repeat?

So buy low and sell high, sounds like any other basic business scenrio

Pretty much. Lots of good tips here on the market forum. It's a little harder Redside right now, but all that will change in a few days.

That was me! it was half in reference to my avatar and half in reference to how we try to teach people to make money and have been since the market came out.

So I bought some 40-50 recharges reduction rrecipes, just crafted and reposted. How many times should I repeat this?

When you have a few million

Couple things though:

1. Once you get a little more working money it is faster to use Set IO recipes to craft and sell. Bigger profits.

2. Don't tell people what you're crafting and selling for profit, others will move in and destroy your profit.

No, no, no.... you only pretend to be helping others. Your real motive is to get them involved in the market as a smokescreen for your evil marketeering. I have it from a reliable source that anyone who 'marketeers' is a bad person!

It can happen, but not really. When niches are revealed, the general reactions are a) apathy b) excitement but laziness c) glossing over it since people just don't read.

I can say stuff like I've bought level 40 Touch of Death Acc/Dmg/End recipes for 1.8M, bought the salvage for another 2.5M, listed it at 16,000,033 and had them regularly sell for 25 to 30M a pop. Oh yeah, I bought 3 stacks of 10 of them at that price and last one sold yesterday. This was redside btw. That's a hugely porfitable niche. I just revealed how I made around 700M over the last couple of weekends.

Even going this far, how many people do I expect to move in on this? Almost none. Maybe one or two, who will lose interest in about a week or two.

Fury is right.....I don't reveal what I'm doing usually because it just feels bad......but even when I have nobody has come and stepped in my niches.

I mean I'll give you one I played redside forever......Titanium Coating Res/End

I was getting the recipes for less than 10k each....salvage for less than 10k.....crafting for 500k or so.....and then selling them for 10M each with an occasional typo where someone was being cheap (6.5M bid or whatever) and ended up giving me 65M. If you have one of these crafted redside, didn't make it yourself, and bought it since 2008 there's a good chance I made it. Considering how many of these things I've made over the last 2 years I'm pretty sure I've made 20-30B on them.

Am I afraid people will come try to take the niche from me....nah......you'll just drive up the prices short-term and then you'll get bored and I'll take the niche back after having sold my stock for 15M for a couple weeks as you drove up the recipe prices.

Good point. Despite what Fury just said, I have no intention of moving in on that niche. And not because I think it would be rude or anything(it's all fair game IMO).

I really want to post some sort of obnoxious over the top laughing at this statement. Not because I have anything against MunkiLord, who seems pretty cool, but because it just doesn't seem to happen. I've been posting for days now about the grand profit margins for people still in the under-10M markets on Adjusted Targeting and Doctored Wounds. Nobody has cared. The price has only gone up. And there are more buyers and fewer sellers than ever.

Have fun with your marketing. If you get into a rut and are not sure the way out, rummage around in the threads here or feel free to ask. Everyone has been very helpful and welcoming to new ebil bastiches from what I've seen.
