Shadowy Presence - Absolutely, positively worse than playing a Kheldian... --Myrmydon
Curse you Shadowrush how can i see it on my spiffy HD big *** TV of you tempt me with it here?!?
I wonder if they ever filmed some of the other earlier scenes in RotJ? Like threre was one where Luke, Chewie and Lando were discussing the rescue plan at some kind of inn or tavern run by Jawas, I think.

...the ****? People are cheering because they cut in a few seconds of Luke playing with his glowstick? That's about the most trivial thing I can think of short of someone changing a lightbulb.

Or it could be something like this.

i know there's deleted scenes from Empire too. still, i can see why this was deleted.
also, ewoks rule. neener.
When I saw this clip the first thing that popped into my head was "This looks fake". The BIG clue was the fact they didn't show his face during the whole clip. Now I've come across this article below and it seems I wasn't the only one who thought so. Yet to be fair I'm taking this a bit better than most. I mean some fans are absolutely LIVID.
That deleted Star Wars scene? Mark Hamill says it ISN'T him As part of the announcement that Star Wars would finally be coming to Blu-ray, George Lucas screened a never-before-seen clip from Return of the Jedi over the weekend, showing Luke Skywalker building his own lightsaber in a cave on Tatooine. But according to Mark Hamill—he never filmed that scene. The deleted scene debuted at Star War Celebration V and shows Darth Vader telepathically urging Luke to join the Dark Side, while Luke constructs—and ignites—his own lightsaber. But it turns out that Mark Hamill, when asked about the existence of such a moment at Comic-Con in 2009, said that "I never shot a scene like that." Check out the brief interview below. Comic Con 2009 Interview Mark Hamill (Star Wars) Does it matter to you that the scene that made audiences cheer over the weekend may have been shot with a stand-in? Or is it all just a part of the movie magic? Original Article Link |

I personally cannot wait to see the Gungan celebration scene in Naboo that got deleted at the end of Return of the Jedi, or the Jar Jar scene at the Cantina that got deleted from a New Hope with the comentary from Lucas saying "See they were always meant to be part of the series from the beginning.

I know which one I'd be betting on..
Its possible that the former quote may have been the lie as maybe, for some reason, there may have been some sort of NDA or something in regards to anything not actually released within the movies. The interview is from 2009 and its a year later.
As some of you know, George Lucas announced that Star Wars is coming to Blu-Ray during the festivities at Star Wars Celebration V. And that, a sneak peek at a short but special deleted scene was shown. The video of the deleted scene taken during the event has hit the web.
I've embedded it in my article at Shadowrush.com
Personally, I think it's pretty cool.
