I dunno about Defenders nabbing Patron sets, but I do know that Dark Mastery and Electricity Mastery for Corruptors look quite a bit better than Soul Mastery and Mu Mastery.
I'm probably changing my Cold/Sonic's epic pool to Mace for two reasons:
1) AoE immob > AoE sleep. Both take cheap purple sets, but the AoE immob is actually useful.
2) Scorpion Shield is also purple (yay), and prettier than Mind Over Body.

Ok, quick question that I am unsure of.
In order to get the Patron pools, you will need to go full villain, do the Patron arc and respec to get them.
The question is; If you then convert back to HERO, do you keep the Patron powers as long as you don't respec ?

Yes, you'll keep access to the patrons as long as you have completed the first patron arc and gotten the badge.

I did not try doing this in Beta, just remember reading something about you losing your Ancillary/Patron powers if you fully switched sides. That must have been a bug.

I have to admit, between the more 'tech' nature of the pool and the mechanics I'm pretty tempted to get Scorp's Patron Pool myself.
I'm even excited about the pets since you can finally have something to use all those cool buffs on solo.
Level 50s: to many to remember at this point
Definitely a win for Defenders, both the Scorpion Shield and various patron pets will prove useful to a lot of us.
Power Build Up will probably make a lot of folks stick with their APP but my Cold/Sonic for one is loving the switch since softcapped s/l is now so easy and PBU doesn't affect the defense from my shields or any of the -res -dam -regen that I rely on.

I think it's neat if your defender wants to buff somebody when soloing.
The funny thing is patron pet is the reason why most people think Epic > Patron. Some villain ATs don't even like having a pet. I know my stalker won't like it. I don't want my pet to aggro while I am trying to set AS. My Brute may not like as much if I want to get all the aggro during soloing.
What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.
My FF defender with scorpion shield, dispersion bubble, hover, and maneuvers is sitting at 47 s/l and 39 en. With no set bonuses. Makes for a really happy FF defender!
So, just kinda curious, is anyone else excited that we can now get a S/L epic shield? I personally think its gunna be awesome outside of a FF def since they already have a handle on the +def awesomeness. I was testing the numbers in mids and was ridiculously easy to make a Kin/Son with softcap defense and still have all of the tastiest abilities from kin and son except for maybe Siren's Song (personal fan of that solo and it will be missed). So, as far as APP and PPP do you think your hero will be sticking with what they got or taking a special mission to infiltrate the villian patrons and take them for your own to bring back to paragon. Discuss
