The first link in your last post works just fine.

Hmmm, I don't see Positron saying "We will not ever merge the markets!" in that post though.

I never said that he did say that. Just that they didn't want to merge the markets.

Positron first stated that madness that they couldn't merge the markets because heroes had more inf than villains as if that were even remotely relevant to the issue.

Later he discussed mythical "issues" which came up that precluded them. I even saved a link there:

Yes I remember that thread and I participated in it. And as I said above there's a huge difference between the devs saying "We can't merge the markets now for this reason, blah blah blah." and "No. We will never merge the markets."

This

Quote:
As for market problems: yes, we know what the specific problems with the markets are and yes, we have solutions to those problems in the works that does not involve having to merge the market. We did some "economic forecasts" of what a merged market would do and were not happy with the NEW problems that cropped up in that crystal ball. Our upcoming solution hopes to tackle the current problems without making new ones.
is not a statement saying they will never merge the markets.

Personally I think they had the epiphany that if they allowed players to transfer inf/attachments via email all the problems their "economic forecasts" predicted went up in smoke.

Edit. NVM you acknowledged that they never said they would never merge the markets. That was the only thing I was arguing about.

Funny.

I don't see ANYTHING in that quote that could remotely be construed as "emphatic." Also note, that you were disputing the differences between different kinds of "no" and that the statement I had in quotes was meant to illustrate emphaticness and be a paraphrase, NOT a direct quote I was expecting to find as might have been implied by the quotes.

No?

emphasis as in original

Seemed quite decisive to me and he even emphasized the word "NEW," thus meeting two of the definitions of the term "emphatic."

I moved all my significant characters off Pinnacle, to either Virtue or Freedom, and I ended up only losing one name of significance, Donnybrook, my MA/SR Scrapper, whom I consider my second main character, behind my forum namesake. Most characters I moved, I was able to maintain their name.

At least for myself, the pros greatly outweighed the one legit con, as I've been able to get onto teams nearly instantly, regardless of the time of day, or what day of the week it is. I can still solo as needed. As much as I am for server merges, I just recommend people take the responsibility to move the characters as desired, if they want to increase their likelihood of teaming. It's worked wonders for me, at least.

And I transferred my only Freedom character to Pinnacle shortly after server transfers became available.

I had a character on Freedom once... sort of as a test to see if I could stand it over there. I saw and heard more petitionable offenses there in like 5 minutes than I did on my home server in a month. I was rather annoyed, also, by my experience on a Sewer Team.

I deleted that character after that first day. First impressions, they last a long time, and you never get a second chance.
