I've left the game (stayed subscribed) several times over the years. Just to try out another game I can't play multiple MMORPG's simultaneously. So if I want to try another game I have to leave CoX temporarily.
But I always come back with a vengence. And I always love CoX even more when I do. I hope you'll come back some day Lilly. I'm going to miss you here on the forums. 
The fiance and I see no reason to subscribe to multiple MMO's so we often take a break. We always come back though. Each game we play has something the other simply can not compare to. No I will not give examples lol.

Ok, so, four days ago, I noticed that there was a PM lurking in the shadows of my Inbox. And being the adventurous little girl that I am, I fetched for the fishing pole and towed line (Or whatever the heck it is you do), giggling maniacally as the little daemon grabbed the bait. We wrestled for hours before he finally fell defeated, where I then managed to saddle it and ride it ashore.
As it turns out, it was a very nicely written message about this person's adventure way back in the day when he was with the Taxibots. So, I wrote up this long response, reread it, edited it, made sure it was perfect, right? Well... Just as I hit send...
"Your browser refuses to open this page. Loser..."
I sighed lightly as I hit the 'back' button.
"Your service provider also disabled your internet. EAT IT, PUNK."
...
... CRAAAAAAAAAAP!
So, that basically brings me to explaining some of the secret reasons as to why it's time for me to go. Y'see, besides the tertiary reason that I'm a little tighter on money then I first realized (I wasn't even thinking about the internet this month), my secondary reason for leaving is moral support for a family member.
As I noted earlier, while I haven't actually played in over a year, I didn't want to leave for any small amount of time. However, I figured that it was either now or never, because my aging mother has been struggling to overcome personal addiction over the past several months (Farmville... Terminal little sucker...). She would click, and click, and click for hours with no end in sight. While you could say that there was nothing wrong with that in and of itself, she despises the game and everything it stands for... Yet she feels responsible for her nonexistent crops and animals.
