They moved them all to the deleted section. Now the ones specifically requested to be saved are being moved back. If a thread's salvation wasn't explicitly requested, it wasn't saved.

Everything I just stated has been stated by TheOcho. Cautious on the doom cry, lovely.

Yeah. It's going to take them some time to sift through them all, but they'll start trickling back in as they go through them. I sent them 101 threads myself, so I know they must have a bunch to go through.

Well, if they're starting to repopulate this section, that at least shows that they took in our feeddback about going forth and multiplying.

LOL. The terrifying thing was your passion for efficiency made you so good at mass murdering. Other cultures never came close to achieving what the Germans did in the field of attrocity.

Oh yeah well I asked em to save all the DC:O thread but that didn't work, did it?

Somone needs to make a thread about DC comics, and give it the title "DC Universe, Online Discussion Thread".

This whole thing is silly. Videogames are entangled with a lot of other cultural things. We have comics based on videogames, we have movies based on videogames, we have music based on videogames. By association, the Batman 3 thread shouldn't be allowed to exist because there are Batman videogames. Lost has a videogame. EVERYTHING has a videogame.

Well, not everything - like there's no videogame version of the forums - yet

I think the rule is silly too, but it's certainly possible to discuss the book, comic, movie or whatever without reference to its attendant videogame.

That's because Siskel was pushing for one and Ebert said he only wants to be associated with art!

Possible, but in some cases, not very easy

I was thinking the same thing about a "Star Trek - Online Discussion" thread myself. Just didn't have any good lead-ins since there isn't any news for a new movie yet.

A retrospective of the whole franchise, with links to relevant Wikipedia and YouTube bits?
