Anybody remember the disaster parody movie The Big Bus?

I see no problem with cars going under and if anything happens to them they have a chance of messing up the bus that's above them. Nope. None at all.
OK, coolest thing ever.

Accident between automobiles that happens to happen underneath the bus, sending debris into unwanted areas?
Someone hauling an unsecured load of say, scrap metal or lumber, that spills debris into the bus's wheels?
From that conception picture, the bus is running with one set of wheels right on the outside of the guard rail. That seems like a bad idea all by itself. The amount and type of ways this is bad are mind boggling.
Why not just build some kind of rail system? It must be cheaper AND safer that this option.
