Thanks for this guide! All my friends told me "No Jax, you do not want to try and level up a kheldian!" but the nova form totally made me want to try - yay flying squid of doom! And this guide really dras out the active-play synergies that are part of the power and potential of Warshades, so thanks for showing me how to make a good kheld.

TY for this guide it both inspired me to pick up my 34 warshade(and proceeded to put back down) when I came back to the game, and convinced a friend to stick around a bit.

Every time I hop on Unwilling Hero(my shade) I feel like I'm only pushing 80-85% of what he's capable of, but I think thats just my personal playstyle not meshing with the WS. but reading the guide reinforced that I'm trying to play it effectively, I just don't seem to click well with it. my friend on the other hand. His WS is comming along just fine and enjoys the tank/ws duo as I make his double mire's a hell of a lot easier and safer(for the most part, joys of aoe heavy groups at times)

Just dropping a note to say that because of this guide my WS in now level 29 and STEAMROLLING over bad guys. I am *loving* playing this character, in a way that I haven't enjoyed a character since I rolled my Crab Spider a couple years ago! Thanks!

This guide really helped improve my warshade a lot
I have managed to craft a permahasten build on mids using only 1 "cheap" purple absolute amazement and 5 Lotg recharges. The build will be close to 3 billion at current market prices, but doable. Cheaper to pay a kin to sb ya I guess, but you would also have perm Eclipse and perm human sunmire.

It does help a lot. I'm still a bit unsure how to decide which powers I'll like (and I'm not a long-term vet who can just try everything and see), but I'll get around to levelling my poor litle WS someday.

I just got to 38 tonight, and ECLIPSE is EVERYTHING you made it out to be.
*MUCH* love

So I read your guide, and it inspired me to create a warshade. He's up to 32, and the pets are fun. I haven't started slotting him yet, but I planned a build out in mids. I was wondering if you could take a look at it? I'm still getting used to mids so I'm not entirely sure how to get it here, or if I should PM it to you...

I was also stuck with picking the last three powers. I went with two stealth powers to max my luck of the gambler slots, but I still don't know what to take for 49.

I played a peacebringer up to around level 40 and got bored.
Then I found this guide.
Even though my warshade is only at 22, your guide makes me giddy with excitement at what it'll be able to accomplish in mere levels.

Or it could just be your awesome writing!
Thanks for the knowledge

A point to make you use the change tray binds...

However you have a couple of other options, open an additional tray with the + button next to the 3 tray expansion arrow.

This lets you have up to 6 additional trays open in addition to the primary 3.

Thinking of Dwarf and Nova you can fit the form only powers into a single additional tray.

However I personally use Macros for the identical attacks...

/Macro AoE "Powexecname Dark Detonation$$Powexecname Dark Nova Detonation"

Giving me an 'AoE' icon to use for both human and in this case Nova form, allowing me to remove both individual icons from my main tray.
(I keep them in an additional tray as mentioned above so I can monitor their recharge status, I do wish these powers could be combined properly with their identical icon by the devs.)

I read his guide and couldn't help but hear it spoken by Sam Jackson while I thought "This is the exact mindset of a Warshade!"

He is not the first to take that tone in a guide, nor will I be the last.
I like the guide Dechs, but I've gotta say I take issue with this.

I get that you really liked the style he wrote his guide in, but you've done a bit more than just be inspired by it. You've pretty much copied the entire core stylistic idea, the MFing whatever. You've also not given him credit for it in the guide itself, which I think would be an important thing to do.

I'd like to say that this guide also works darn well for creating humanform WS's. Mine is a stone killer.

And thanks so much to Dechs for writing this!

I'm not the droid I'm looking for.

MA Arc ID 8121: Rapp'Mas'Ta's War. The Rikti are trying to incorporate sonic effects into their weapons? THAT can't be good. Maybe we should ask them to stop.

Dechs, Aib and AlienOne

I love this guide.
I have been a player for quite some time, yet never posted much. I have a few 50's but only ever gotten to lvl 15 on a pb and lvl 6 on ws before getting distracted. This guide is what i wanted, not a slotting guide...not a build to copy. A philosophy, a method to understand how to play this AT. In fact the reason to play this game. I am loving my WS and previously the BORING levels between 20 and 32 are brilliant. The style of playing improves, using the abilities of the AT to the fullest, "I need more bodies, must find more bodies" going into a fight is not which form am I going to take
I am a MFing WS...I am the whole form, my combined power is greater than the sum of my parts. I previously thought this AT was lame and only diehards played it...wrong only diehards attempt to play it. True heroes (villians) embrace the WS.

Thanks guys...look forward to a team one night as all kheldians destroy the game and show we are not underpowered...
