Heal/Teleport combination

Hi,

Last time I played (Admittedly it was several years ago) I had a healer character with Empathy and some form of Teleportation power. It was pretty neat, because when grouping, if a hero went down I could teleport them out of a mob before rezzing them.

Now that I've returned I have created a new healer character, using Empathy. However, I've noticed there is no Teleport secondary power. So am I right in thinking that this probably got changed around at some point since I stopped, and that Teleport got removed from that combination?

Not that I can do anything about it, I just want to check I've not got it wrong...

Teleport is a pool power. The only AT that gets teleport in their primary/secondary (other than things like Lightning Rod) is a Warshade. You can get Recall Friend (the power you're describing) at level 6 (as well as TP Foe, but that's not what you're looking for for your use.)

Ahh, so thats how I did it before (And should be able to do it again after a bit of levelling ).

Welcome back to the game.

I'd just like to briefly mention that many things have changed in the game since you've been away and while most teams like someone with Recall Friend to teleport them around to missions and such, the 'teleport and resurrect' tactic is even less worthwhile now than it used to be since players can create their own awakens by combining inspirations now.

I'd strongly recommend you approach your empath from scratch rather than trying to play it the way you remember from back then - lot's changed.

Or, go give the short version: absolutely take Fortitude at 12 and don't skimp on your attacks. Good luck!

There is that. However it's not something to build a character around. If you're playing a support character and you're spending a significant amount of time teleporting other characters to yourself and rezzing them you're doing something wrong.

Unless, of course, you're still below level twenty.

And the rest of the team is really awful at whatever it is they're doing.

Right. When I get rezzd, mostly it's in the middle of the fight and i'm fine with that. I'm much more concerned with 'Do I have Fortitude? Did RA and RecA go off in the middle of the fight, not way back when nobody needed it? Does someone have AB?' Most of the time, i'm not worried about someone else managing my health for me, particularly if we're being buffed correctly. Having a primadonna stand around spamming green numbers on us when we're not getting hurt and contributing nothing else of value, however, is enraging.


A no attack "Group-Friendly" Defender is like a "Team Friendly" basketball player who won't dribble, run, or shoot, under any circumstances. "I'm a PASSER."

I have a character with that combo and a new emp that didn't bother, and I really have to say it's not missed. The only real strength of emp rez is that they are up and full and ready to fight right away. So, you might as well do it in the middle of the fight. If they are being teleported to safety first, then they might as well use an inspiration, and if they are doing that, leave the TP to someone with a veteran tp.

Fixed.

Resurrect prompts mean that when you rez me in the middle of a fight, I'll have a full green bar, a full blue bar, and all my toggles and insps ready to go as soon as I click Accept. Taking me out of the action doesn't accomplish anything other than taking me out of the action.
