They seem to be great so far. I have an older puter, WinXP.

Update: This new driver is great. I tested it ingame and noticed a better framerate and better detail. I was actully able to crank up a little more eye-candy on my ol' 'putersaurus.

Seems to be having problems for me. Freezes up whenever I enter SG base. Rolling back to an older driver fixed it

These drivers are excellent. I don't get the slide show like I did with the previous version w/ my 8800 GT.

Anyone have an alternate place to get these? I've tried downloading them 7 or 8 times now and the file keeps getting corrupted - the executable won't unzip. Keeps giving me a file error. :x

I do have one question though, not being very tech-savvy myself, does this driver update apply to all Nvidia cards? (I have a GeForce 7150m/nforce 630m Graphics card (on a laptop) with the 179.91 drivers according to the smartscan tool on the Nvidia website.)

Thanks in advance for any possible help !

They have separate drivers for each separate video card, separated further by operating system. THey had drivers for old Quadro cards and all sorts of stuff, so I'm sure they have one for your chipset as well.

And thanks for that link, Healix, I'll try it from there.

[edit] OK, this is a bit strange. Healix's link provides a single 'Forceware' nvidia driver. Nvidia's site had separate drivers for each card, and they were labelled 'Verde Notebook' drivers in my case. Driver build number is the same.

That's not true. Nvidia, for quite a long time, has used a Unified Driver Architecture, so there's basically only one driver (+ a legacy driver for really old cards). The selection on nvidia's site is so they know whether to give you the legacy, or current drivers series.

JC_THREE's card is still supported with the non-legacy cards. Although since it's a laptop, he'll most likely need a modified driver (modified = doesn't refuse to install on a mobile). I generally grab mine from LaptopVideo2Go.

Cool. Learn something new, etc.
