Street Hunting to 50

I got pretty close with my DB/Fire Scrapper, who's sitting at about level 44 from 90% street-sweeping. Before the new mission difficulty settings, it was just the only way to find spawns big enough to justify all those AoEs she packs. Kind of hit a brick wall when I outlevelled all of the non-RWZ/Shard hazard zones, since /Fire isn't fond of the enemies in either zone.

Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.

I think I might have to try this with my Blaster....I can remember doing a lot of street sweeping in the beginning! I don't think the devs like us doing it. We were skipping all their precious content lol.

Curiosity's getting the better of me. I can see how you could sloooooowly get by with Jump Kick, Air Superiority, and Flurry - but how did you get from 1 to 6? Were you teamed...?

I also have an MA-only toon named Mission Architect, but Virtual Lad's origin is way more awesome. How far along on the path is he?
15. I'm never in any hurry and have a ton of alts and play them all in a whimlike fashion. Plus shortly after I made him I had six months off with a broken computer.

Heh, while all true, I think they only really cared when almost NO ONE was doing the content, hence the changes back in the day to mission bonuses and debt. But then, that was back in the days of Jack and things are a touch different now.

Maybe he includes Vet powers? I can't imagine trying to Brawl everything.

Solitary spent a lot of time in both RWZ and Shard zones (the rim of the Chantry was particularly fun), but there are also a lot of mid-40s Nemesis groups on the docks & in the borough in PI, totally ripe for AoE goodness.

I am cheating slightly by making liberal use of the Temp powers that drop so frequently these days The new email system makes it easy for me to send any Salvage he needs from one of my far too many alts. But yeah, 1-6 was the worst part.

That's just awesome. Well done, sir!

Yeah, that's how I got from 40-44.

Bawwwww, CHEATSES. That does it - you've inspired me to do this myself, and use ONLY pool powers. No temps, no vets, not even inherents - that's right, no [Brawl]...! Guess I'll have to owe someone a favour for that level 6...

Back before I16 and the changes to the mission difficulty settings, most of my toons would almost exclusively solo in hazard zones. One of the main reasons I didnt have a lvl 50 vill is the absolute lack of hazard zones redside.

I am really looking forward to GR and being able to do all my hazard zone runs with a brute.

I found early on that the mission complete xp bonus was easily surpassed by the xp of a couple hazard zone spawns, with no travel time whatsoever.

Glad you had fun with it

Are there any others who have done something similar?
Back with my main, when I didn't understand the missions structure of the game so much, I did a LOT of street sweeping. After a while it got to be very difficult to find stuff of the appropriate level and a suitable challenge. Leveling became somewhat painful after a while. I finally did switch over to teaming in my late 40's though.
