    AP33 Forever!!

I have no idea who the redshirts are but I'm pretty sure one of them is named RedShirt and is a 50 (+1) incarnate.

I know I am torn about my desire to keep AP33 alive, I want to be there til the end but I also want to play as much as possible too. My solution was to create a 2nd account and have my new toon parked in a mission in AP33 so he won't go afk, freeing up my main account for other adventures.

Maybe RedShirt had the same idea and just got carried away. I think his intentions are heartfelt and he is doing what he can to show his support and love for the game. Granted it's pretty over the top, but it does make an impressive sight.

Well rednames may not appreciate AP33, but redshirts sure do.

I know there is a workaround, which is why it makes sense to offer a more "legit" solution.

If people are already taking elaborate steps to accomplish it, and no harm is being done to the integrity of the system, then why not just offer a solution that gives players what they want, while also profiting from it with their new micro-payment model.
  11. I think there should be a token that can be bought in the store (or perhaps earned), that allows me to email a Super Group invite to my offline friends or my own alts.

I really hate making a new toon and then having to wait for someone else to log on and invite him to the Super Group that I created. An Invite Token that can be purchased and emailed would solve this nicely. It's also a repeat purchase, which I am sure is looked at favorably by TPTB.
  12. Does this go live some time Tuesday afternoon/evening, or does it go live Tuesday at the stroke of midnight?
  13. Freedom Really Engorges Erotic Muscles.
  14. 1. Are you male or female?
    Male

    2. What ATs do you mostly play, and for what reason(s)?
Tanks because I like to be in the thick of the action, I like to help protect my teammates, and I really, really HATE dying.

    3. Redside, blueside, purpleside, or any combination of the above?
    Blueside

    4. What are your favorite story arcs?
The Freak ones like Freaklympics, and the long Nemesis arc. The new Tip missions are really fun too, I like the sequencing and addition of named characters.

    5. What makes you like this game?
I'm a super hero geek, and I like the heroic sense of action and power it gives me. The variety in power sets and costumes is also a big draw for me.

    6. What other games do you play?
Animal Crossing (Game Cube) a long time ago, and Red Dead Redemption (PS3) very recently. No other MMOs.

    7. How long have you been playing?
    6+ years

    8. How many alts do you have, what is the average level range, and how many are level 50?
40 alts. I try to keep some at every level but avg is probably the low 30s.
    I have 11 50s - 8 tanks, 2 scrappers, 1 brute

    9. Do you bother with softcaps, set bonuses, and all that numerical stuff? What difficulty settings to you normally use?
Softcaps & numbers no, but I have set bonuses on 2 of my 50s. No idea if they are the best choices though. Diff settings are usually 0/0 until the mid 30s, then I crank it up to 0/+2 for most of them.

Kind of hit a brick wall when I outlevelled all of the non-RWZ/Shard hazard zones, since /Fire isn't fond of the enemies in either zone.
Solitary spent a lot of time in both RWZ and Shard zones (the rim of the Chantry was particularly fun), but there are also a lot of mid-40s Nemesis groups on the docks & in the borough in PI, totally ripe for AoE goodness.

I also have an MA-only toon named Mission Architect, but Virtual Lad's origin is way more awesome. How far along on the path is he?

Haha maybe! But usually I'd pick a secluded spot in the corner of a zone to avoid being spotted. It seemed appropriate for the character.

The halloween event made this practice especially interesting.
  19. It was actually pretty easy, since I wasn't in a hurry. I saved him for times when my friends were logged off, and made sure I had plenty of Patrol XP. It was fun to roleplay a bit, staking out a "neighborhood" in different zones and trying to keep the streets clear.

I dont really know how long it took in real time, but Solitary has been on patrol for 119 hours. A lot of that was running back and forth to Wentworths to sell, as the drop rates were pretty spectacular.
  20. Last night Solitary, my fire/wp scrapper on Liberty, hit level 50 by only solo street hunting.

He has never been on a team, talked to a contact (other than trainers and stores), or been on a mission. He simply works alone protecting the streets. The process was much more entertaining and rewarding than I thought it would be.

Are there any others who have done something similar?
  21. How about this: No prompt if MF is cast from your current teammates, but the prompt shows up if sent from a "stranger".

That way you can tell your teammates not to MF you if you dont want it, just like you can do with every other buff.

Maybe that's simpler than adding an entirely new enable/disable selection in Options.

  24. Supergroup Name: The DIE HARDS

    Website (if any): none

Leader or Recruiting Officers: Itomic, Bluezero, Vagrantt

Preferred Method of contact: Ingame email

    Motto: DIE HARDS DON'T DIE!

Guild Description: Once upon a time, most of our founding members were in various SGs with tons of members. Then we were hit by the WoW plague and lost virtually all of our teammates almost overnight. The remaining few banded together and eventually reformed as the DIE HARDS.

We are a group of mostly high 20s (as of Feb 05) heroes devoted to defending Paragon City, who play 2 to 3 hours nearly every night. Our goal is to always have a Die Hard to team with, and watch each other's backs while we complete as many missions as possible and have fun doing it.

If you have been abandoned by your SG yet press on with heart and soul, you may be Die Hard material. You will have to prove yourself in a few missions first before an invitation to join is offered.

    See you in Paragon!
