Player owned houses in CoH and CoV!

I know with the SG's you can customize a base, but haven't you ever wanted to own your own house or mansion with other players as neighbors? I used to play Star Wars Galaxies and they have something called housing, in SWG you can buy a different sized and/or different kind of house for your player to live in. You can place furniture, weapons, armor, etc. in these houses. You can also allow anyone to enter or just your friends and your other characters. This is my dream for CoH and CoV. But instead of the weapons and armor you could have a costume closet where you would go to, to change your costumes if you had other costume slots. You could add things to it just like you can a base but you couldnt make more rooms, you would just buy a preset empty building that you could customize the inside of it. Maybe you have a jacuzzi on your back porch and want to have a private party with all of your friends. Maybe you want to invite all your friends over and see how they like the new surround sound that came with your disco ball! Or you could just have a casual discussion over the game with a nice cup of tea. You would have to pay upkeep just the same way you have to with the base except with influence or infamy. There would be certain people you could buy house deeds from, once you get this house deed you just go to a new zone that Paragon could make for placing houses in. You just open up your salvage menu click on the deed and then place the house where you would like to have it. Maybe an SG would like to have its own office building where players would go into then sign up to join the SG at the front desk. All of these things could be used to bring players into the wonderful world of CoH and CoV. They could also be used to satisfy the role play hungry players' needs to plan an attack on an SG or just sit down and talk. Reply and tell me what you think about having these things, or post some suggestions of more or less things to add to this wonderful idea.

You can either just let the thread drop or call up a moderator to move it.

The biggest thing, though, is to split your text up in paragraphs, because it's much easier to read that way. Your point in making suggestions should be to have people want to read your post, and making it easy to read is a very important part of this.

Welcome to the forums and the game depending if you played the game before the fourms.. I do like the suggestion, would be something nice of an individual place, something easier then bases/basic.

its not a bad start to what could be more suggestions in the future so keep thinking, but as said the search feature while not always easy when trying to find something dead on specific does help alot in making it possible to know if its been said n done before- saves time i guess.

And as said try to space out ur posts as bloocks do tend to get bad rep post wise.

After 6 years I doubt they have any intention of messing with player housing. They should've done personal lairs instead of SG bases but that was Jack demanding they do half-baked stuff and then ignoring it instead of ever doing anything with it (Cathedral of Pain and Items of Power that were promised in CoV are sure to go live any day now! it's only been, what, 3 years or something?)

Maybe CoH2 will have personal housing. That would be sweet. Pick a cave or a tech base or just a little apartment. Old Republic might revitalize the interest after WoW (and WoW clones) never showed any interest in doing player housing....old DAoC and then EQ2 had cool housing, too, not sure how it stacked up to SW:G's.

Sure today is the first day of the rest of your life. But so was yesterday. And look how that turned out.

Sounds a little too carebearish and playdoll-like, I'll pass.

Not everybody wants to join an SG/VG and not everybody wants to spend hours and hours on base design and redesign. Good on those who do, and hopefully they have fun doing it.

But, I'd happily use player housing if the costs were not exorbitant and there was a fair amount of (easily managed) flexibility about how to set it up.
