I received the last of the items that had been purged this morning. If you haven't gotten your items back yet please bear in mind that they are dealing with a lot of these petitions. I had zero acrimony or arguing from the GM team, they asked some questions, found the items, and returned them.

Just be patient.

M'Teru couldn't get the job done. So she sent Mot to Astoria. Bad call.

For them to admit that they made a mistake rather than saying "the system is working as intended."

They didn't admit making a mistake.
Well, it probably is working as intended. The mistake was not telling us. I'm more of a fan of fixes than apologies, though, so...eh.

Dec out.

We definitely should have been told about the 30-day auto-delete AHEAD of time.

I have been unable to get into the game for almost the last month, due to technical difficulties (which I don't have the money to resolve).

It looks as though I'm going to lose all of my items and there's not a thing I can do about it?!

What a revoltin' development!

I think you should contact a mod and explain your situation, so they have it on file for later when you need to get the lost items returned.

QUESTION:
If we prefer to manually renew our subscription each month, will our emails disappear?

I have done the manual renewal a few times and my subscription lapsed by a few days each time. In each case I did not loose any e-mails I had saved. Not sure if the changes to the in-game e-mail will change this, but the history suggests it will not.

Seeing that the email area was used as a storage depo, we should be able to get an in game bank, everyother game I have played(other than this one) has had a bank to store your stuff in. It would also be good if I could transfer stuff to other characters aswell!

Normal emails arent lost after 30 days though, so comparing that normal emails are saved even if your acount is inactive for a while (weeks for me at times) isnt a safe compsarion as the rules are different for email attached mails.

Send a ticket to support and ask is my suggestion.

I'm sorry DG, I see I didn't go far enough in my explaination. Probably cause I was half asleep at the time.

Anyways, I also was doing the manual renewals way back when you lost your stuff on the market for leaving it there too long and even though my time lapsed several times, I never lost anything from the market (the first time was over 15 days).

Now I could easily be wrong, but with what has happened to me I feel comfortable in saying that loosing your stuff is time sensitive only and not active account sensitive.

The safest bet I would think though, would to be not using your e-mail as a safety deposit box, I know I won't. Just do your transfers and be done with it. No risk of losses that way.

Agree. Many active players will still use mail as storage, at least for money. Currently there is still no way to store your funds in a bank. One option you have is to make another toon that you may or may not play, leveling them up to 10 so they can send email, and having them hold the money. The other is to make sure you grab your funds and send another email to yourself every 20 days or so. The second option is much easier for most.
