...I use it to make a big steel guy and all of a sudden, I being called Colossus. What the heck?

It does bear a resemblance, although I believe Colossus can be done better in our costume editor.

And seriously, ANY toon that wears the Metallic costume option could be accused of being a Collossus rip-off, especially if they also use the Metallic head for thematic consistency. People really need to get over themselves.

Superficial resemblance, mostly due to him being silver and one of the colors on the rest of his outfit being red. If you changed the black and red to, say, blue and white the resemblance would drop off quite a bit.

The fact that he's Invuln doesn't help either, especially if he is also Super Strength. I can see why people would think that he's a ripoff, though I doubt I would think the same if you ran past me.

I created a character who bears a passing similarity to Colossus myself, except mine was an Electric/Willpower brute. I used the Cyborg Cables shoulder piece to represent a charge pack that fuels his powers (he doesn't actually have any powers aside from his metal skin, it happens to be an excellent conductor while keeping him insulated, so he runs a charge through his arms to attack with)

I'm sorry but this is no where near as close to what Colossus is.

His Jacket/Shorts aren't there, and well in all honesty for those that are reporting you for Colossus imitation -- They really need to read the comic/look at him more. >.<;

I think if anything, Metallic is more at risk of being imitated for Silver Surfer then any other character.

Not so much as the Ring or Jewel chest options makes any character look like an Iron Man knockoff, or the Spider option makes for fake Spiderman knockoffs, or any pale blue skin/pale blue tights option makes for a "Dr. Manhattan", or any cape option leads to a DC character. Then again, if these did individually make copy-cats that were worth suing over, I don't think NCSoft would have allowed the options to begin with.

When people start calling you by the name of a TMed character they think you resemble, it's time get to the tailor and change things up before the genericing (especially with the GMs' "shoot first and ask questions later" philosophy).

Eh, people are often just stupid and ill-informed, though. The metal skin is the only thing connecting this toon to Colossus (OK, he's a brunette, too). Everyone with metal skin isn't Colossus. In fact, the outfit far more resembles Astro City's Steel-Jacketed Man, but even that's not that close.
