Adam paced back and forth, his anger growing more and more, he knew the others would be here soon, at the very least if Misty knew where he was, Morilanthi would not be far behind.
As he paced back and forth he shot a bolt of dark lightning at the door every time he turned around, walking backwards and forward, backwards and forwards, the images of his wifes torture still burning in his mind.

Adam stopped, his fists clenched so tight his fingernails were stabbing into his hand.
He suddenly rocketed straight at the door, the gargoyles on either side erupting to life, a combination of dark energy and fire spewing from their mouths, the second it hit him he was pushed down, landing hard on the castle steps, the ground cracked beneath his feet as the waves of dark energy and flame fired continuously.

Adam raised his hands to cover his face, taking one step up the stairs he parted his fingers a little bit, the heat and energy circled around him as his own electrical shields seemed to strain against the overwhelming onslaught.
He took another step forwards, gritting his teeth he took another step, and another, and another, all the way to the top until he was level with the Gargoyles that protected the castle. Only one thought ran through his head.
For Jemma.
Extending his arms he punched straight through the heads of the statues, the rock crumbling to the floor as their attacks ceased.

Adam raised his fist again, punching a hole in the huge doors he pulled back with tremendous force, pulling one of them clean off, he made his way down the stairs, and into the main hall.
As he got there he saw two familiar figures standing there, and in his moment of utter surprise he almost didnt realise the sword aimed for his back.

Turning on the spot the sword travelled along his shoulder, just barely slicing the skin, the swordsman pulled back, slicing his right arm, Adam dodged to the left, rolling forwards he turned to face his opponent.
It was the aptly names Sword, one of the Courts many members, inside his suit of armor he raised his sword again and rushed at Adam who barely had enough time to side step to the right and duck as the sword scraped across the wall and over his head.

Adam quickly stepped up and raised his arms, a burst of lightning flashing at Sword, knocking him back slightly, he seemed to hold his sword a little tighter, Adam fired another bolt at Sword who seemed to be barely fazed if at all.
Adam fired a continuous stream of lightning at the suit, unfortunately whoever made the suit made it well, it seemed to slow him down slightly but worryingly enough, he kept walking forwards, as if against a strong wind.

Adam fell to one knee, he couldnt keep it up forever and it wasnt having enough of an effect on Sword to keep him at bay long, he was getting closer, and more importantly, within reach of his blade and Adams head.
Adam looked to his side, he saw his wife again, there were two but at that point he wasnt even thinking about it, he simply saw his wife, the woman he loved most in the world.

Adam erupted in a great ball of electricity, flooding the room in darkness for a brief second he seemed to travel through the lightning to appear in the air behind sword, landing a heavy kick to the back of his head.
Sword fell against the wall and turned, his sword slicing through the electricity as if it were solid, Adam streamed along the lightning, bringing his fist across the hand his sword was in, then back again he knocked his hand against the wall as if he were chained to it.

Adam punched him in the chest, then again, and again, gradually growing faster and faster, the sound of thunder ringing through the halls as each blow hit Sword body, he finally delivered one final punch as the wall behind him seemed to shatter.

Misty watched for a moment then turned to the skies, her Robots had finally arrived. Misty smiled and glided down into the street infront of the castle. Noticing her father had seem to had beaten his enemy Misty turned her attention to the Castle. "You wanted a war Countess Seems like your going to get one. Time for a blast from the past" Misty started pressing buttons on her wrist pad and her Robots opened fire on the Front door of the castle. Misty pressed another button on her wrist pad and a lazer rifle appeared in her hands and she joined in the robots attack. "Knock Knock Countess, this is the sound of the end."

Darkleaf looked around for a moment, jumping as Elizabeth shouted. With silent wings she fled the dungeon, down the hallways towards Shannon's room which was next to hers. On reaching the room she's panicking so much that she doesn't bother to land, just keeps on flying, instead knocking poor Shannon flying backwards and on to her bed.

In a rush she blurts out, "Shannon! Shannon! Miss Elizabeth needs you right now! She's in the Dungeon, and there's all kinds of bad stuff going on in there, and Ghost of Death turned in to two people, a kind of cloud and a human and then they both ran off and I don't know what's going to happen, but apparently there's someone called Adam outside flinging lighting at the castle and anyway Elizabeth needs you!"

She finishes, panting for breath, grabbing hold of Shannon's arm to pull her up.. "We need to go now!"

The doors of the Midnighter Club in Cap au Diable flew wide open as Morilanthi came running out of the building.

He stopped for a brief moment until he felt a very familiar presence and began to run in that direction.

Sword was tunned by Storm's attack, and his head was thudding. He was watching Storm pound his chest in as if he was watching a movie. He couldnt move, his armour was showing warning signs and damage readings, and he knew what was coming. Slowly Sword closed his eyes as Storm delivered his final punch, letting his body rest as the pounding in his head stopped, his heart having been shocked into stopping, the electrical current of Storm's punches amplified by the energy redistribution system in his suit. Sword died, his armour shattered, broken and burned, the last piece of a universe destroyed, now gone forever. But the worst was yet to come, as the charge from Storm's attacks reached critical levels, Sword's suit glowed brightly, red warning signs showing on the inside at its deceased user.

The suit exploded, sending shards scattering in all directions, ripping Sword's body to shreds. the only thing left intact, a small black box which showed a hologram of Sword and someone looking like Black Scorpian, no words were uttered.

Jemma watched Adam with awe. It had been so long since she had seen him in battle. But what a mistake it was, as Ghost quickly delivered a stern kick to the side of Jemma's head, knocking her onto her back.

Ghost stood above Jemma, using the heel of her boot to pin Jemma down by her neck, almost piercing her flash, Jemma let out a roar.

When Adam and Jemma fell into battle together, they were a deadly combination, as Jemma would synchronise with Adam, using his own power to increase her own.

As Ghost's heel was about to find its way through Jemma's neck Jemma had lifted a hand, it was aimed towards Adam. She was siphoning his energy to protect herself. And as Ghost dropped her heel onto Jemma's neck, she was quickly blown back, and seems to float through a wall.

Jemma ran towards Adam, screaming, “I have no control over the Nether. I’m pretty useless right now.”

Adam leapt back as the suit exploded, his shock at what had happened made him freeze, that is until he saw his wife running at him, calling for help, the fact that he had seen two of them before was completely gone from his mind, all he saw was his wife running towards him.

He quickly picked her up in his arms and bent down a little, the ground cracked a little as he shot directly up the stairs, turning sideways to shield Jemma he crashed into the wall hard.
Looking outside he saw Alex and her robots, without a second to lose he yelled at her.

"ALEX! FIRE AT THE ENTRANCE, KEEP FIRING AND GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!"

He rocketed forwards into the air again, passing Alexia until he was at the other side of the street, he turned to see if she was following and using her bots to cover their escape.

"Sure fire and run got it" Misty kept her Robots firing trying to do as much damage as possible to the castle once she thought her parents were well clear she shouted "BATHORY! THIS IS YOUR FINAL CHANCE! LEAVE US ALONE!" Misty smiled then took off after her father wondering what was different about her mother. Misty could sence a ghost but Adam had not got her in his arms.

Morilanthi stopped when he sensed Alex leaving the castle. He took hold of his amulet and spoke via the amulet.

"Alex, I can open up a emergency portal to Pocket D. Just get to where i am and i will open it up. Tell your father to get here aswell."

Misty heard what Morilanthi has said and said to her father "Quick this way Mori has a faster way out of her" Misty lead her father towards where Morilanthi was. As Morilanthi came into view Misty shouted "Get the Portal open" Morilanthi muttered something in elven and the portal opened with a view of Tiki lounge inside it. Misty waved her father through then grabed Morilanthi's hand and lead him through. As Misty went into the Portal her Robots stopped firing on the Castle and rocketed into the sky and her robots heading for where thier creator was now.

Lucard took cover from the explosion of Sword's armour, stunned by what Storm had done. He had never thought a Nighthunter would kill a human, even a member of the Court, but he had just seen it and he realised he needed to rethink what the Nighthunters were caperble of.

As Alexia's robots started to fire into the main hall, Lucard returned fire with his pistols. Though his aim was good the robots were highly armoured and resistant to his bullets. Focusing his am on the fleeing Jemma Moore and Storm, Lucard increased his fire rate, attempting to execute the traitors.

In the corridors close to the rooms of the two Fae Shannon rubbed her head carefully... "Darkleaf is flying without looking yes... Something happened yes... ok ok Shannon comes... Ouchy."

With that remark she pulled her wings straight and flew up after Darkleaf to the countess.

Ghost finally made it back to the entrance hall - oozing through each wall in her way.

"Fools! The whole lot of you!" She wailed as she noticed the black box.

She quickly marched up the stairs and into the street to evaluate the damage. She was shocked; she also noticed a small group of people staring at the building.

"Move along!" She shouted, and was prepared to move them herself if she had to.

Ghost quickly returned to Bathory.

"You need to warn this -Court- about just how powerful these people are Bathory! Once the death toll starts rising, do you think their loyalties will remain?" She was furious, but she seemed to be the only one taking any action.

Ghost could be seen at the gargoyles, seemingly repairing them, with some spells and runes.

By the time Ghost returned she turned to Bathory for a short moment.

“If you need me, I will be drawing up a battle-plan in my room. And on another note, the first creature to taunt me, gets their own session in the torture chamber, courtesy of me.” While Ghost pasted the Countess, she almost smirked.

Lucard entered Ghost's room, a rage filling him that he had not felt before.

"How dare you!? How dare you call us fools?! you and Jemma Moore are exactly the same! weak foolish spoilt girls! you think your the best, that the world should bow down to you! but where were you huh?! the last of the original templars left, knowing full well she would leave the court weakened if she did so! And then you have the nerve to call us weak? to say we are useless? you were in that hall as those intruders just walked in. You say you have all this power, yet out of all of us, YOU were the ONLY person doing nothing to stop them! we lost an ally and all you can do is call the people trying to help him fools?! just what did you do for the countess before because i havent seen you do ANYTHING worthy ofthe rank of Templar! Just by what scale do you call yourself powerful!?"

Ghost didn't bother to look at Lucard, she was far too busy examining a large map, floating against an empty wall.

"Lucard... You don't have permission to be in my personal-quarters." She was still eyeing the map.

"You question my power? My abilities? Would you like to learn first hand at exactly what I am capable of?" Finally she spun on her heels, marching towards Lucard.

"Vampires... I miss the older generation... Hmm, they knew respect, moral. They did not behave as you have done. Yet... Such a weak being, a twist of the head, snap of the fangs, and your... Powerless?" Ghost was not threatening Lucard, more like teasing him. But she held a stern note to each word.

"I don't work for the Countess to be insulted by the likes of you, Lucard. This is your final warning. OH! And next time... Knock you loathsome cur."

At a moments notice, Ghost had used one of her signature abilities. Similar to most Ghost's she was able to move objects, however she choose not to use this ability as she claimed in made her as 'barbaric as the rest of these creatures'. But she couldn't resist after Lucard's questioning.

Ghost was floating before Lucard, as every object in her room suddenly lifted at the same time. She was tempted to throw the entire room into the corridor after Lucard, but she opted to simply throwing a few chairs, a desk and a small table.

After the objects began to float, Lucard slowly raised with them, and was instantly shot through the wall, next to her door, along with the few objects she found necessary to smash around him.

The Countess had warned her not to lose control of her powers on many occasions, and she tried her best to follow the Countess’ commands, but on this occasion she felt it necessary to prove her worth.

Every item in the room quickly dropped as she regained control of herself. The nose was defiantly going to attract a lot of attention as Ghost had all kinds of heavy items in her room, such as the piano. But she glared out the hole she made in her wall using Lucard, then quickly turned back to her map.

Lucard picked himself up, he wasnt impressed by the childish and weak show of power that Ghost had shown him. He wasnt hurt, and he laughed loudly. "What? Was that it? the extent of your power? you make things move? was that meant to impress me?" he said scoldingly. He walked back into her room. "you failed to do anything, you couldnt kill Jemma Moore and you cant hurt me. If you can lose your temper like a little child like this, then your not worthy of being a Templar."

Lucard looked at Ghost directly and stepped up to her so that they were so close as to be toe to toe. There was no fear in his eyes, if anything he seemed amused by her tantram. "your nothing without your old host Jemma, you need her obviously, and so you need Storm, so now i ask, just what use are you any more? what influence or power do you really have here?"
Lucard smiled "and as for you missing the older generation of vampire....Elizabeth, is a younger generation than i am you stupid b****".

Darkleaf had been on her way with Shannon to find Elizabeth when she heard all the crashing and banging, and the tinkling noise of a piano dropping. Curiosity getting the better of her she turned to Shannon, "Just got to see what that noise was! Might be something can help with!..." With that she changes direction and flits quickly in the direction the noise came from.

On reaching the corridor she pauses in mid flight, looking at the wreckage of stuff all over the floor, and a new Lucard shaped hole in the wall. She tries to find a place in which to make herself small and hidden... Listening in on their conversation.

Ghost had a smile on her face. She stood completely still for a few moments.

"Goodbye Lucard."

Ghost completely disappeared, in the blink of an eye.

It turns out the map she was studying was actually a letter. It was addressed to Elizabeth Bathory. It read:

Dear Bathory,
I have returned to my own dimension. The Court died to me a long time ago; we lost some of the best creatures that ever roamed the earth. We have become nothing more than thugs.
Do you remember when Alex and I trashed your room? We did it because you deserved it. You were letting the Court fall apart. I helped you build this place up from the beginning, we worked hard to create this safe-haven, and look what it’s turned into.

Countess I leave you for now, as my powers are too instable, I am worried I might lash out on the Court members again. I know you will understand.
All of my items are completely magically sealed; I do not expect anything to be touched in my absence. I will be watching like always Bathory…

~No Queen rules forever.

-Dark Templar, Ghost of Death.

Despite the fact that Ghost had completely disappeared, a cold-wind like whisper flooded through Lucard's head.

"I will be watching you too..."

Lucard smiled to himself. "i hope you will be Ghost, as i will be watching for you. Do not hate this courts evolution, adapt to it, for it is still a haven for those who wish it to be". He walked away, a new peace entering his mind, the letter floating to his hand as he headed towards the Countess' room.

Lucard reached Elizabeth's office, knocking once before entering, he placed the piece of paper on her desk, a solem look on his face.

"Yes yes.. get in...", Elizabeth said. She was looking at several security plans produced by Green Tinker and Suzan Chaos. Next to her stood Jack Wulfe... his animal senses watching for any threat to the countess. He uttered a soft growl when Lucard entered the room.

In the Nightclub known as Pocket D.
Adam stepped through the portal Morilanthi had created along with his daughter Alexia, or Misty as she was most recently known as, and his wife Jemma in his arms.

He seemed to stare at the nightclub, standing still for a few moments he let everything that had happened over the past few hours sink in.
Suddenly he walked straight across the dancefloor to the Storage lockers, gently lowering his wife so she was standing he opened the Nighthunters Storage area, the one they used to keep their magically protected uniforms in, reaching in he shuffled through the clothes for a second before pulling out a large black and white cloak.

He placed it over Jemmas shoulders and wrapped it around her, smiling as he did.
He did all of this without saying a word, it was if he was in a daze, a delayed reaction to the horror he himself had caused.
He looked down at his hand, black veins were bulging from it, shaking slightly.

Though Adam was indeed powerful the sheer amount of energy he had used in such a short amount of time and the way in which he had used it had severely drained him.
Usually he had perfect control over his abilities but in his fury he had wasted much energy, slowly causing him to lose his strength, and so to make up for it he had taken other sources of energy.
Flying through the clouds he absorbed the energy from the towns and citys he had past, little bits here and there, causing nothing more than a flicker to their lights, their televisions or even their cars but accumulating within Adam to fuel his rage.

Adam needed to meditate for a few hours every day to keep his own energy flowing and pure, but what he had absorbed while flying had corrupted his own life energy, luckily for him he had expelled much of it in his short battle with Sword, but there was still enough to cause him trouble.

His vision began to blur as his smile faded, he fell down hard onto one knee before collapsing sideways on to the floor, drifting into unconciousness, his last thought was that of happiness that his family was safe.

682 Platinum Lake - Steel Canyon

Darien's gauntlet smashed into the heroes face again, knocking the novice hero to the ground. Darien had been fighting with this one for over 10 minutes now, merely because killing him was too simple.

This hero had called himself Justice Dread, which Darien found mocking. Darien didn't feel in the slightest scared. More amused really. Justice Dread's real name was in fact Kyle Korback, something Darien had took the time to learn, so as to insult the novice hero.

Kyle writhed on the floor, his body wracked with agony, he didn't know what this villain wanted, all he knew was that he came out of nowhere and started wailing on him. Wailing on him good. Kyle wasn't the one to admit to defeat, but he knew that he probably wasn't going to walk away from this one unscathed. His costume was in tatters, the purple and blue lost beneath the blood.

Kyle wearily stood up, several of his teeth were missing or broken, he was only seeing out of one eye and could barely hear a thing. His vision was wobbly, unable to keep himself straight. His foe, however, suffered none of these difficulties and stood before him, not a scratch on his armour.

"Come on, is that all you got, runt? I'm disappointed. Call yourself 'Justice Dread'? My mother is scarier than you, and she's dead!" Darien taunted Kyle. He cracked his knuckles .. or more preciesly, his gauntlet joints and prepared to unleash another killer punch.

Kyle held his hands infront of him in a pathetic guard, struggling to keep his arms up. Darien laughed in amusement and smashed Kyle in the face with a devastating punch to the face, a sickening, pulpy crunch signifying that Kyle's nose had finally broken.

Darien frowned. This wasn't even funny anymore. He decided enough was enough and grabbed Kyle by his collar and dragged him face-to-face. Darien was a good deal taller than Kyle and looked down on the battered hero.

"You were amusing for the first 5 minutes. For that, i'll leave your fate to chance." With what little feeling was left in Kyle's face, he had a brief moment of hope which showed on his face. Darien squashed that hope by returning the expression with a dark grin.

Darien lifted Kyle clean off of his feet and over his shoulder, like an impromptu missile and ran towards the window. Before he reached there, he hurled Kyle through the window, letting gravity do the rest. Kyle crashed through the window, some 15 stories up. He saw the gound hurtling towards him, screaming as he plummeted to the earth.

Darien watched as Kyle landed on his neck, causing his neck to snap and his head to bend in an awkward position. Even from up where he was, Darien saw the sizable blood splat where Kyle had landed.

He turned from the window. The most fun part was over now. He'd have to find a new victim. Heroes were too simple, he thought. But what could he do to get at them, other than killing them. But the answer was simple ... civilians. What every hero strives to protect.

Darien glanced around, looking for something explosive. He noticed the gas cooker in the kitchen and grinned fiendeshly. He set all the nozzles to max, pumping out gas with a loud hiss. Darien had little need for breathing, so he was not bothered in the least. He gave it a few minutes, listening to the commotion in the street below. Several emergency service vehicles had turned up. Excellent.

He searched the drawers for something to ignite the gas. Kyle hadn't been known to be a smoker, but Darien found several lighters in one drawer. He sniffed the air, which was thick with gas. Any normal person would've suffocated. Now was the perfect time.

Darien picked up a towel nearby and stuffed it into an empty milkbottle. He had no intention of being consumed in his own inferno. Darien sped out of the kitchen and out of the window. As he flew through the air, he tossed his impromptu molotov into the gas filled apartment.

As Darien flew away, the thick purple tendrils of his own magic wrapping around him to hide him from view, he felt the fire lick against his back, as well as the shockwave and explosion. Now safely hidden from view, he observed his handiwork.

Kyle's apartment was gone, lost in a conflagration that rose to lick at the story above, as well as the apartments next to it. It was beautiful to his eyes. Darien landed at a perfect view point, overlooking the lake and the now burning building and felt somewhat proud.
