Open Season (Open RP)
Gator, as wasn't unexpected, carried himself with an air of thuggish overconfidence as he strode closely behind Bill and to his right. He whistled tunelessly; or tried to whistle, at least, seeing as the shape of his mouth didn't really accommodate it. It ended up producing a high-pitched hissing noise more than anything else. The silver chain in his hands kept swinging and swinging until they ran into the next moron in between them and their objective. So far he'd bludgeoned several zombies into their second death with it and used it to strangle an unfortunate lone werewolf who tried pouncing their strike force.
Nobody was too surprised he didn't seem to be taking the whole thing seriously, but this was about as close to seriousness as he could get without roaring and screaming incomprehensibly.
Something seemed to shake the very foundations of the castle as they walked - a scream, apparently - and while Gator could hear it quite clearly it didn't do him any harm, or anyone in the team as far as he could tell. This only bolstered his feeling of invincibility. He knew exactly where they were going (somehow) and there was nothing that was going to stop him or the rest of the Corporation.
Closely in step with Bill and Gator, Fianna rushed through the corridors of the Castle, eyes vigilant to any sign of threat. Moving swiftly with the rest of the team behind them the Corpers moved with precision and purpose towards where they were sure the fleeing captives would be.

There was no need for verbal communication between the Corporation members, the team turned to Bill as their leader and all it took was a nod from the infamous Headbreaker and they knew what to do. They'd follow his lead when he charged. They were used to confrontations far more complicated than this, trapped and injured prey but they had a job to do.
Guided by Bill's approval and an unseen arcane push the strikeforce strode forward, bearing down on the Nighthunter's loved ones, they weren't going anywhere.
The white haired man flew backwards as the countess hit him, hitting the wall with a sickening crunch, blood splattered from his mouth, luckily for him his cloak had protected him or he may have been in worse shape than he already was.
Falling to the ground he could already hear his cloak malfunctioning, its silvery shine was fading with small flecks of electricity flying off it, pushing himself up he stood upright again, pulling his cloak off at the same time, his vision was going slightly hazy but not enough that he couldnt see the girl back in her mothers arms again.
Though his face was covered in blood his hair remained the purest white, his face was covered in old battle scars and his left eye was covered in an eye patch but other than that he was the exact duplicate of the Nighthunter Adam moore, also known as Storm, the white haired man was from a parallel world, having came here months ago to the castle he sought refuge with the countess, but today, he sought to end it all.
Slowly raising his left hand he pointed it at the countess, a bright blue glow emanated from it, swirling around his hand.
"Pious....get your family out of here now...do whatever it takes, ill deal with the countess myself."
Using his right hand he fired a bright blue beam of energy at the doorway in the hopes of blasting anything standing in it, hoping to clear the way for the Nighthunters to escape.

Leeches watched her infected fighting the zombies and their masters, it was rather amusing she would get involved but there seemed to be no need, she looked to her robots and sighed
"I know you are eager to open fire, so do so, open fire, fire everything, drive the intruders back, avpid those new arrivals though, we dont know whos side they are on yet".
Then the lights from teh arachnos airships shone near her, uh oh somone had called the spiders, that was going to be trouble. She smirked, perhaps they would be willing to let her keep a Nighthunter as a prisoner for scientific study of course, she did wonder though whos side the spiders would be on. Time would tell it seemed, she never trusted the spiders but did work for them from time to time, it would pretty much depend on what the one on charge of the spiders decided, as for the arrival of the corporation, who knew who's side they were on, she didn't trust them though but saw no reason yet to fight them.
The end is just a new beginning, Goodbye all my coh friends and even the enemies, its been a blast I will miss you all. Thank you Paragon team, you gave me a home from home I will always appriciate it.
"Friend or foe?" Morilanthi asked the new arrivals with an eeire calmness to his voice.
"Your very lives may depend on your answer.."
Morilanthi stood there with a calm expression on his face, an expression that tried to hide extreme fury. No longer was there a nighthunter standing there. It was a Guardian of the Endless Forest, a guardian who had slain countless of demons. To him, they were standing between him and the woman that he loved.
It was almost as you could see the Grim reaper standing behind morilanthi, holding a skeletal hand on his shoulder.
Lucard raised his reloaded guns and prepared to fire when the defeaning wail came acroos him, he looked more confused than in pain, grimmacing before disappearing into the wall to find the source fo the noise.
|
So saying he headed back up the stairs, slowing and melding into the shadows as he noticed the three way stand off between the Nighthunters, loved ones in tow, the Court and the newly arrived Corporation.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Blade looked between the forces opposing the Nighthunters and realised they could not win against such forces. "Molacki, grab Yarg and Imp and get out of here! we'll cover you as long as we can, meet you at the usual place!".
Molacki did as Blade commanded, grabbing the two men and jumping off into the city, followed by his zombies. Blade dive bombed towards Leeches remaining forces and the arachnos troops, before rising again and signalling the retreat, his anger qulled by the sorrow of having to retreat.
Blade began to send a message over the Nighthunter's amulet "Pious, if you can hear me hurry and get out of there, Arachnos has turned up so im forced to retreat. Unless you give the order for the Silvatian Army to launch their attack. Please respond or i will be forced to leave".

Inside the castle, Silvas rose from the stair case and put a hand on Leon's shoulder. "we cant help them, a battle know would only hurt matters, we need to leave but you have made an ally of both the nighthunters and the Silvatian empire" Silvas whispered to Leon.
...the strikeforce strode forward, bearing down on the Nighthunter's loved ones, they weren't going anywhere.

Moments later, Pious was the first to regain consciousness. He looked about him and noticed the entire Nighthunters rescue team laying next to him, including the kidnapped. Morilanthi and his girlfriend Misty, Altair and Suraya Balfear, Morrighan, Alena and Zaisha, Damsel and Hazel, Sabrina's body and her dead son David, and what looked like Laya, Mary and the Silvatian. They were in an Arachnos flier, beneath the bright red resurrection rings.
"What in the Lord's good name just happened?" Pious asked out loud. "Were we just saved by Arachnos?"
The white haired dropped to his knees looking at the place the Nighthunters had been only seconds ago, blood still dripping from his mouth, his breathing becoming slightly heavier he started to laugh until the pain in his chest made him stop, he still kept his smile however.
"You...lose, bathory....i came here to stop a madman, the same madman who killed my father....and yet...you would do the same to that man, to his family, your like the emperor...i guess i just didnt see it....didnt want to see it.."
Slowly he put one hand on the ground to support himself, turning to look at the countess he kept his smile despite the pain he was in.
"What you gonna do now..."

Aquis sat on the floor of the grand magical hall, blinking slowly at the disk in front of her. Flattening her hand against the view of the room the Nighthunters had been in moments before she spoke steadily, her ears still ringing.
She spoke steadily, her voice audible to everyone in the room. "They're gone" She informed the Corporation and Court members alike "Arachnos are scattering the remaining hunters, there's nothing more we can do in the castle. Corporation, pull out and get to the flyer. Elizabeth, we'll see if we can find your missing 'guests'"
"What in the Lord's good name just happened?" Pious asked out loud. "Were we just saved by Arachnos?" |
"Looks like it's your lucky day, hunters"
Leon nodde to Silvas, grinning as the Nighthunters teleported, or were teleported, away.
"He who fights and runs away lives to stab the other in the back another day," he chuckled to himself, before there was the strange slicing sensation in the air, and he was gone.

Looking down at the smoking hole where the demons head had been, Kurze smiled and nodded to the shadowform.
" Took y'damn time "
Looking around and seeing his men slowly freed from the ice the demon had left, he gestured for them to form up, looking at a small device on his wrist which had been flashing red but had flashed blue almost a second ago he smiled - Bingo, thats my girl - then clicked on his com bead.
" Kurze here, - mission 100% successful - distraction provided t'full effect, on confirmation Corp package has been delivered will need permission t'withdraw from this hellhole "
He looked around and surveyed the scene, the carnage was dying off and Arachnos flyers were milling around, a few making headway away from the scene, the lawn and rooftop was scattered with the broken forms of the robots/demons/mercs his men had taken out.
" Damn good work boys, now we wait fer orders - I want the roof clear, cover the exits - i'll create us an exit if needed "

Leeches smirked to herself, a full withdrawl humm? She was not sure, she knew the Corporation were enemies of the Court and of the Nighthunters. But who did they hate the most? She knew that the Corporation had turned on the Court recenty She wondered this, again time would tell on all this. She lowered her rifle and nodded to her 6 surviving infected soldiers.
"You did well, you who survived will soon be given great power, take your fallen comrades with you, remember them, use the hatred another day".
The infected nodded and picked up the bodies of their fallen comrades and activated their teleporters, Leeches sent her robots away and watched them fly away and looked around the castles entrance area. Somone had sure made a mess, she hoped the spiders would not take anything too far, she didnt fancy going on the run.

Bozeman gave a dry chuckle as Pious shook his hand. Obviously he had little idea of what was going on, even though Bozeman himself had only a marginally bigger idea. Breaking tha handshake, he crosed his arms across his chest "Wouldn't go thankin' me too much pal. I was ready to brain ya from behind. Teleport fried the stealth shield. Still, no sence continuing to fight. Bathoy's clearly gone off the deep end, and she ain't payin' me enough to tackle you lot up here"
He moved through the assembled group toward one of the two access doors. "Besides, I'm not even assigned to this fight, officially. Better to dive out than get Mako pissed" His hand moved to the emergency release switch. "I'd advise you lot to hold on to somethin' "
She saw her servant of darkness being followed by Shannon who had some bruises but had a beaming smile... "Shannon is oke Miss Elizabeth..."
The man she once knew as Project Leech was lying motionless on the floor... his blood spreading out in a big pool. Elizabeth didn't even looked twice at him. "Shannon, the prisoners escaped... find all who are still loyal and make sure they are allright!" She stepped a bit aside so she wouldn't stand in the blood. "I will seal off all exits right now!"
Outside the army of zombies started to change tactics from offensive to defensive... Blocking all entrances... Inside Elizabeth walked to her Sanctum Sanctorum. She opened a grimoire and stroke a ebony crystal orb. An ancient incantation further the orb began emitting the same energy that only recently created the black viewscreen in front of the castel. But this time it went to all exits... all entrances... all windows... filling up every crack... The effect was slow and tedious... and very visible... But when it would be finished the whole mansion would be like a ebon vault. Magically sealed.

Rising up from the roof, Parasite Knight dropped to the ground and walked in the front door, ignoring the gaurds and heading straight for Bathory's sanctum. "Mistress, the Nighthunters are in full retreat, forgive my lateness, i did all i could to turn the tide of battle".

Blood stirred slowly from the wreckage of the stairwell which had collapsed under his and Silvas' collision. Getting up slowly, he began to pull pieces of bloodied wood and stone from his body, the wounds healing quickly. one finished, Blood began padding up to the upper levels, seeking his mistress.
Breathing a sigh of relief Fianna rested her forehead against a window of the Corporation flyer as it took to the air. Her heart pounded in her ears as she tried to calm her nerves, she had always had issue with an abundance of adrenaline whilst in the field. It was handy whilst in a situation but became an issue when her energy levels crashed afterwards. Emerald eyes surveying the scene below she gave a small nod.
"Bathory's sealing down the castle" She remarked vaguely as the castle became encassed in a dark substance. "Not seeing many Nighthunters on the ground, definatelt not any large clusters, looks like most had some sort of exit strategy."

As Bozeman moved to the access doors the internal tannoy hissed into thofe, a crackled voice emitting from it.
"I'd do as the man says. Hold on tight, we didn't pull you out of there just to lose you to the skies! We're locking down those doors but it might not hit in time"
Leeches retreated into the castle also, it seemed the safest place to hide right now, especially with the spiders lurking about. She made her way into the protected areas to make herself known to the Countess, she noted the corpses and shrugged it looked like someone had taken losses nothing could be done for them now. She made her way into the inner area and pondered the current situation, locked in a castle, she shook her head and hoped Bathory knew what she was doing.

"Nooooooo!!!", Suraya screamed out. Till now she had experienced the rescue as in some kind of haze. Her mind being held for a good part of her time in the dungeons of the Court. Her torn weddingdress heavy bloodstained... from the hundreds of small but deep cuts she had over her body a few where still bleeding. "GET AWAY FROM ME!", she duck away from something not there and connected hard with Rachel.
A white light started deep in her eyes... and suddenly a blinding flash illuminated the aircraft. Followed by an army of light and heat that started attacking everyone. Suraya held her hands in front of her face... her whispering voice sounded somewhere between anger and fear. "Get away from me!"

Morilanthi took hold of the swordhilt and used it to pull himself up. Staggering for a moment he found his balance. He whispered something in Elven with his teeth clenched.
With newfound strength he ran through the corridors and up the stairs, only to find his friends and loved ones under Elizabeth's attack. Unsheathing his katana, he slid across the lounge and began slicing away at the tentacles.
