Just coming back to CoX
This one should be fun...
Welcome back to the City.
Enjoy your day please.
*I'm never sure whether or not the Bruiser is fixed. I know at one point there was a fix but he may have been broken since, I don't play my Thugs MM enough these days to know.
*...Robotics Masterminds don't get a flamethrower. Are you referring to the Assault Bot's Flamethrower? I wasn't ever aware of it being bugged.
*PvP is unchanged since you left.
*They're trying, god bless 'em. For every farm exploit that gets patched, another one is discovered. You can't really blame the devs for these unless you blame them for the root cause, which is allowing XP in the Architect to begin with, which is definitely where they screwed up.
*Was end-game content ever broken? (Unless you mean something else by "fixed"...) Still, to answer your question, we are supposed to be getting a full-fledged end-game system beginning in Going Rogue/Issue 18 to be further expanded on in Issue 19. Called the Incarnate System, it will allow your level 50 character to become more powerful. It will involves raids in special zones. Anything more than this beyond speculation. Some believe this will involve level 50s being granted 10 global enhancement slots, but again this is speculation. We also don't know if this will work similar to redside Patrons and require your character to align themselves with a Greek deity (since Statesman is meant to be an incarnation of Zeus, Recluse is Tartarus, etc.). It's possible that the system is simply called "Incarnate" as a reference to game lore and will have nothing to do with the details of the system.
Wait, more things about the Incarnate System! Details I left out/maybe new? (I'm not sure):
From here:
I've heard a few people discuss possibilities for what Issue 19 is, and the name "Incarnates" has been around, but this was the most concrete information I'd heard from a solid source. Of course, it's hearsay for you now, but that's just how it goes. The Incarnate System is designed to give players end-game content. It adds "Incarnate Levels" to level 50 characters. The first Incarnate Level comes with Going Rogue, and was called "Alpha" during the talk. It adds "Incarnate Abilities", which are situational powers to allow the 50-Alpha characters to do additional things. Issue 19 adds more Incarnate Levels and Abilities, new rewards, new zone events for Incarnates. Going Rogue will be required to participate in the Incarnate system. Some of the zone events will take you to Praetoria. |
"You don't lose levels. You don't have equipment to wear out, repair, or lose, or that anyone can steal from you. About the only thing lighter than debt they could do is have an NPC walk by, point and laugh before you can go to the hospital or base." -Memphis_Bill
We will honor the past, and fight to the last, it will be a good way to die...

Oh, and welcome back.
a GM farm is boring and I feel bad for all those kids going from lvl 3 to the mid 20s and having no money for enhancements. No so bad that I'd give them any spare influ bad I do have some pity laying around I can spare.
its not even a good way to get tickets

Wait, people seriously farm GMs in AE? They don't even give good experience!

I left right before mission architect for... WoW. Now I am back!
But I am completely lost... there is so much new to the game my tiny mind cant comprehend it! Did they fix the stupid Thug Mastermind Bruiser? Did they fix the stupid Robot Mastermind Flamethrower? Did they fix the Lolpvp? (I looked and discovered WoW pvp is superior to CoX) Did they fix the farming? Did they fix end-game content? Wuts a... a GM farm? I must know! Tell me everything you guys know |
- Nope, Lolpvp is still Lolpvp. It's not finished, and I'm fairly sure it's not high-priority either.
- THE farming? What does that mean? There's lots of farming everywhere. Farming medium insps for SG bases through the shadow shard? Farming behemoths? Farming story arcs? Farming <insert AE Exploit of the month that will be fixed shortly here>?
- What do you mean, "fix the end-game content" anyway? That's... just really vague.
Also a list of "They better have fixed this" doesn't seem like the kind of demeanor that would allow one to enjoy anything. =/
I much prefer returning to a once-experienced thing wondering what they focused on, what they did, what their sweetest draw is.

This post helped alot thx, and by saying if end-game content was broken I ment if there was any :P PvP is unchanged... dang
I was refering to the assault bot's flamethrower. It takes too long to use for the little damage it does and he uses it too often.
Yea I hate farming to
and.. Incarnate system? OOOooo...
