Acid Mortar Accuraccy?
According to City of Data (which hasn't been updated for Defenders having Traps, but has the Corruptor version, so I looked there. Acc should be the same), it has a base acc of 100%, in other words the same as most every other power that doesn't have an acc bonus or deficit. Since I didn't see anything mentioning PvP specific accuracy, I assume that it has base accuracy and should therefore be slotted for accuracy. At least one SO's worth, since it does -def in AoE, so assuming it hits, it should keep hitting.
If going for IOs, either frankenslotting or sets for bonuses, I'd probably go for around 40-50% accuracy. Always good to have a bit extra to be on the safe side. That should have you hitting +2s pretty often.

What is the accuracy of the Acid Mortar's attack power, not the accuracy of the summon?

I can be found, outside of paragon city here.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.
It attacks with standard acc of 1.
But is that measuring the accuracy of the Acid Mortar's own attacks or the summoning power of creating the pet? For instance, fluffy (Dark Servant) says accuracy 2.0 but that it simply the accuracy the /Dark or Dark/ Player has to have Fluffy appear EXACTLY where we want him to. Fluffy himself has 1.0 on all his attacks.

I've never, ever, -ever- seen Acid Mortar miss, even if it hits in an AoE. Can it miss? The normal 100% accuracy suggests that it can miss just like any other power, but I've never seen it miss.
I actually asked this in a thread over in the Mastermind forums a while back but didn't get a definitive answer.
Yep, it can certainly miss. Seen it alot at lower levels. Once you've got a Acc SO or equivalent in there, it seems fine though.
Just to note, the glob of acid still seems to hit, the only real indication it has missed is that the enemy won't have the damage ticks on him.
That's what I mean. The damage ticks/debuffs never fail to land on the enemy. Maybe I'm just phenomenally lucky with this one particular power.
Information is still valid, though, as the pets accuracy wasn't changed when it was proliferated to Defenders.

Does it need Accuraccy for PvE?
