Full Hard Drive??
You are going to have to give a bit more information.
What said he didn't have enough memory? What shows his hard drive is full? Memory and Hard drive are NOT the same thing.
What version of Windows is he using?
What is the exact error message that he's getting?
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Please have him run and post the results of this program. (It won't give us any Ultra Mode details, but it's the basic computer stats that are more interesting at this point.)

When he tried to update the game it said he didnt have enough memory to do it. I right clicked on the c drive and went to propeties. The pie chart that shows the free and used space shows its all full. It shouldn't be at all. He's running xp.

So, no idea huh?
How about providing the information asked for? AFAIK, nobody here is psychic. I can throw out totally random ideas, but the chance of any being right are pretty low. (Such as "He has a virus that's serving porn behind his back and his HD is full," "Someone managed to resize his partition so he has no space," "His drive has secretly been replaced with Folger's crystals.")
Want me to keep going, or would you like to provide the asked for information so we actually have something to go on?
Does the error message when attempting to update also say something along the lines of "...or you don't have permission to write to the folder?"
If so, the fix is here:

In short form:
Delete CoH shortcut from desktop. Copy (do not create shortcut) of cohupdater.exe to desktop. Run it. If prompted, direct it to install to same directory you copied it out of. Once done, do NOT click next. Close program. Delete the COPY of cohupdater.exe you created. If no new shortcut was created, create a new shortcut of cohupdater.exe to desktop. Rename as you see fit. Run it.
Reply with findings.
Be well, people of CoH.
It helps. I'll deal with "My monitor doesn't go internet" while I'm getting paid for it. Otherwise, give me info.

Now, please, don't reply any more because you apparently can't respond without stupid suggestions. If all you can do is throw out ideas, that's fine. But be logical about it so we could start somewhere. No need to be an ***. So, go be stupid somewhere else for post counts. Thank you, that is all.
BZB, no it didn't. It just said that his pc didn't have the memory to req'd to update the game. When i went to the C drive propeties, the pie chart was full and said he didnt have any FREE SPACE left. If it takes some type of print out, ill just let him deal with it because i dont have access to it and he dont come to the forums. Thanks.

I asked a general question as to if anyone had an idea of why a C drive would show as it being FULL when nothing is loaded on a pc other than CoH. If anyone has had it happen or knew of it happening.

We don't know how large the hard drive is. Or how much space was free before, or what else is on it, or may have been removed.
We don't know it's an actual hard drive issue because you mentioned "memory." We don't have the actual error message.
We don't know what all is ON the hard drive - is it the same one the OS is on? You say "All he runs is COH." Does anyone else use the computer, does he use it for anything else at all? Is it compressed? (Does anyone even DO that any more?)
We know next to nothing about the system. Thus THREE PEOPLE asking for more information. Being given "So nobody has any ideas" back - using your own words, "being stupid" - isn't helpful in the least. Thus *my* response. Don't like it, there's a reason for it.
Right now we have a LITTLE more information because you finally mentioned seeing the hard drive itself reporting it has no space. Followup, does Windows throw out a message about virtual memory running out at any point? And when's the last time a disk cleanup was done on the system? (Empty recycle bin, right click the drive, properties, tools, disk cleanup, let it run, control panel, internet options, delete files there, etc. Yes, I *have* run across drives that filled up with temp files and misc. crap.) Last time a malware scan was run? (the "trojan serving porn" was only half in jest.) If one hasn't been, swing into safe mode with networking, head over to trend micro and run their online scanner. If he has multiple drives, try moving the VM file over to another through system properties - performance, see if ti still complains about being out of memory.
Edit: And if you can, snag this and run it. See what's taking up the most space.
If it says the C drive is full then maybe it really is full. Why not go in and look? Maybe some program freaked out and filled the temp directories up. Maybe he installed more than you think. Maybe it's a small SSD drive. <shrug>

That's exactly what we are asking you to do, be logical about it so we can start somewhere. I could throw out guesses all day long that may or may not be correct but would be valid guesses, but if I have a bit of information that is easily obtained it makes it much easier to diagnose issues. I don't waste my time shaking a Magic 8-Ball when trying to help people with computer problems, it's not a productive use of my time.
No need to slam Memphis Bill, he's said the same thing I'd have said. We are both professionals and get paid to help people with computer problems.
Had you provided the information asked for, we might have been able to pinpoint the cause of the problem in a matter of minutes. Instead, it's been several hours since we asked for that information and we still haven't gotten it.
As Memphis Bill says, when I'm getting paid for it I have to put up with the lack of response to a certain degree at least, but when I'm trying to help someone for free I don't have to continue if people refuse to provide the information requested.
It's not like we asked you to pry open the case, disconnect all the cables, remove the hard drive and give us the Product ID code from the label. The information asked was was extremely easy to find, and Aggelakis even gave a link to a program that would have provided all of that information and more.
Since you want to be rude to the people trying to help you, my part of this is ended here. And don't bother responding, I won't be able to see your posts. That way I don't waste my time in the future.
Good day.

Wait, you are telling someone asking for you to provide information that was requested hours ago and still hasn't been provided to be logical about it so we cold start somewhere?

Guess you didn't see when i said it wasnt my pc. So, getting alot of info to post isnt the easiest thing. SOOO, i asked a simple enough question. Or so i thought. I was just looking for a couple suggestions to try. OR, see if anyone had actual knowledge of a specific problem. A simple, NO, or non post would have been simple enough. ******** replies helps noone.
Tip for the future... IF you don't like, or can not help a poster....DO NOT CLICK REPLY. easy peasy.

So, the game is telling you the hard drive is full and the properties on the C: drive also show that the drive is full?
What are the "Used space", "Free space" and "Capacity" values shown in the properties of the C: drive (don't need the exact bytes, just the MB or GB value will be fine)?
Tip for the future... IF you don't like, or can not help a poster....DO NOT CLICK REPLY. easy peasy.

If you can't get more details, saying so politely is enough. Getting in their face doesn't help anyone.

My cousin went to update his pc to I17 but it said he didn't have enough memory. When i looked at his pc, it shows his hard drive is completely full but it can't be. All he has loaded on it is CoH. No other games, music, videos or anything. He had been playing CoH everyday, it just wouldn't let him update it. Any ideas as to why it would show full? Did his hard drive crap out?
