Yeah, what's so great about your city anyway? Name something cool about your city. Hell, name something lame about your city for all I care. I'll start:

The winged wheel, our Detroit Red Wings baby!

The good: The Phillies, The Flyers, The Art Museum, The Liberty Bell, Citizen's Bank Park (the GREATEST ballpark in the world), A good cheesesteak at a mom and pop corner deli, hoagies from Lombardi's

The bad: The Eagles, The Sucks-ers (Sixers), Pat's Steaks, Geno's Steaks, Jim's Steaks (can you tell I hate the "big three" of steak shops in Philly?), traffic, the rep my city has and Comcast (greedy corporate bastages)

I live out in the country with the nearest city about 30 miles away so....

My country is so country that country tries to be country!

I'm serious, we got wannabe cowboys in the next state that try to be rappers. In this area of the state, farmers that try to be well known in a small community....a few anyways, the rest are decent LOL!

My city built your city.

At least most of the Steel in it. If it was made prior to WW2 that is.

My city was pivotal during the civil rights movements, for it's atrocious behavior and subsequent reputation.

My city has recently become one of the largest ever to declare bankruptcy...

My city has the world's largest cast iron statue at 50 tons. Vulcan watches over the city while mooning the rich neighborhood behind him.
His torch lights red when a traffic fatality occurs, green all other times.

My city has a 36-foot tall bronze replica of the Statue of Liberty looking over a busy interstate. Complete with burning flame.

My city's Main Street has won the Great American Main Street Award twice this decade (2003, 2009).

There are nine bronze mice collectively known as the "Mice on Main" hidden up and down Main Street. They are based on the children's book Goodnight Moon. Families love to bring children to hunt for the mice while parents window shop.

My city's most famous residents have included:

  • Charles Townes, Nobel prize winner and one of the inventors of the laser and the maser;
  • diplomat Joel Poinsett for whom the Poinsettia plant is named;
  • Aaron Tippin, country music star;
  • Joanne Woodward, actress and widow of Paul Newman;
  • Rudolf Anderson, Jr. U.S. Air Force major and U-2 pilot shot down during the Cuban Missile Crisis;
  • Tyler Florence, celebrity TV chef;
  • and of course, the legendary Shoeless Joe Jackson, arguably one of baseball's greatest natural players and focal point of the Black Sox scandal and the movies Field of Dreams and Eight Men Out. Shoeless Joe is buried about a mile from me. His grave is usually covered with baseballs and bats. His house was moved next to the new baseball stadium and now hosts his museum .

Until recent years, the world's entire supply of Pepto-Bismol was manufactured in my city.

The last performance of the original Lynyrd Skynyrd was in my city. The fatal flight left from my city's airport.

My city has one of the last Frank Lloyd Wright homes ever built.

Diet-Rite soda was invented at the Coca-Cola bottler in my city.

My city (the greater Phoenix metro area) at one point was growing at the rate of one foot per hour. And we ALMOST toppled the Pittsburgh Steelers during the Super Bowl in 2009.

And I really wish they would have. Not even a Cardinals fan, but God I can't stand when a Pittsburgh team wins a championship. Talk about smug and arrogant.

Yet my city has more professional sports championships than them
