Ok well I thought you were going to say bio breaks were an issue but if i run the risk of dying in real life from running a fire/rad then I have to see this. And i will have a drink with me, I live hard, i play hard!

I'd say two, as long as you took Char and Fire Cages.

Tonight was fun, just doodling with the radio in PI and then getting to slap down the banners. Once the others on the island and we got synched up at the banners, the AM and mean ol' rad debuffs brought the banners down fast.

[I'm actually not sure my debuffs did anything on a big piece of wood.]

Next week, it sounded like we might do Midnighters. If you've not run it at a high level, and I've run it at 48, it's a sight to see. Too bad we can't just burn Lady Jane to a crisp and be over with it though.

I'm also interested in the Freakolympics. I've never run that.

Very fun having Biggie, and I don't remember his real name, along. He lacked travel powers so I rec-friended him around some, once dropping him around 10 stories to the ground. har har har.

[awaiting Hyper with official picture and rambling.]

Okay. Another good night tonight.

We had a guy show up at level 4, so we opted to do missions tonight. And OH DEAR GOD!

  • Greased Wheels
  • Kaylee Foxtrot
  • Riches
  • Zero Decay
  • Big Wave
  • Vortex Core
  • TechNein
  • Zorinna

We had a short night tonight because several had to call early (long weekend = short recovery time).

Anyhow, when we got the first mission with all the high level carnies, I was a bit...worried.

After the first two groups, I stopped worrying.

Fire/Rads. THE ONLY WAY TO GET ARCHMAGE! We just cut straight through them.

Well, a few missions in, it was time for some people to bail. Yet, fate wouldn't let us part quite so easily. Right as we were leaving, we caught an in-progress banner event in PI (PI1, we spent most of the time trying to stay in PI2). So everyone stuck around for that.

Now we all have our badges for the event outta the way.

Effort? Well...I guess. NOT! We're a Fire/Rad team! We have to exert ourselves NOT to cook someone!

Also, sometime between the 1st and 3rd mission, I got a nice little surprise.

Armageddon: Chance for Fire Damage

I darn near pooped my spandex when I saw that!

All in all, lots of fun had. Lots of butt kicked. And Big Wave saw Big Levels out of it tonight. And now he's ready for next week.

Okay. Going to be more mishes next week. Some of our people don't have their Midnighter creds yet. So we're going to go after them. And hell, we might even keep that suicidal *AHEM*....Lady Jane alive!

Also, for those of you wondering how you get in on the group.

  1. Make a Fire/Rad.
  2. Put a couple levels on it yourself to get familiar with the powers.
  3. Look at the first post either here or here.
  4. Take a quickie, cursory look at the general build outline here.
  5. Show up on time.
THAT IS IT!

One other "suggestion" would be to take Leadership: Maneuvers for your next power after Imps (or ASAP after).

One of our goals is to be able to run the higher level TFs, and a combined defense from 8 people with Maneuvers is nothing to sneeze at.

I think I'm going to have to roll a new character for the group - to experience Fire Radness at the higher levels, and have a high level character with missions I can switch Riches out to, to pick up Praetorians, etc. Looking forward to Monday!

Do we have a 50 so we can do ITF? Or do we need one? I thought all spawn in ITF were level 53...

How many 35+ do we have? I don't remember Kaylee's level, but it's above 32 and below 40.

We have a couple people in the 35-50 range thus far.

And AFAIK, all the spawns in the ITF scale to the mission holder.

OK, tonight, if we have two teams, I'll lead the lower ones, or those who need it, in Midnighters. That might go pretty quick.

What're you thinking Hyper? Others?

Oh, and the obligetory:
THIS IS TONIGHT

Oh I need to get the midnighters done, or do you have a full team already?

I'm not really that structured. We'll see who shows. I'd suspect plenty since it's not a holiday, etc.

Heads up guys!

Apparently we have some buddies on Liberty trying to do the same thing!

They're looking to run Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Well, if we have enough people needing Midnighters, we'll run two teams of that.

If not, we can pick a Task Force and annihilate it.

I've actually got a fire/rad on Freedom- if one of my infrequent blocks of free time lines up with your schedule I might drop in.

=D

I've whipped out my new Fire/Rad. She's up to level 22. I don't have anything that can do the ITF yet, and already have the midnighters on both my characters. But I'm good with anything. Barring wife agro, I'll be there.

I figure we'll just dork around with the radio after Midnighters as it's quick.

We were doing Carnies with the Radio last week, I think, and getting toward the Illusionist badge really fast.

Well, we chewed up Midnighters. We only had three deaths all attributed to separation from the group. Mine was because I went afk and an ambush spawned on the other side of my safe location.

Lady Jane didn't die, though it made no difference. And now we can all get into the Midnighters club, woot.

No screenshot, I wasn't thinking about it.

The second team tonight didn't have it quite so easy. My leadership tonight...well...sucked.

We tried a high level bank mish and tried charging the bank. NOT happening. Even taking off into the air STRAIGHT FRACKING UP from the hospital seemed to draw fire/stuns/holds/etc. It had me ready to bite rocks and spit sand.

So we were never really facing the bank villain all at once (Scirocco). Needless to say we got eaten.

Mea culpa. Mea culpa. Mea maxima culpa.

We started again doing radios of my level (33). +1x6. That proved a bit easy. So I bumped it to +2x8. That seemed a bit sweeter once we got in the rhythm. We still were having some nasty TPKs though. Granted. We were a 4 man team. So we were doing iron-man duty taking on +2x8. Especially CoT.

But all of us stuck with it, and didn't really do half bad. Hopefully we'll see these guys back again.

  • Flamin' Trolla
  • Jackal Flame
  • Nuclear Fyre
  • Radical Burner
Sorry! No screenie. Like I said. I was just WAY off tonight.

Well, back on the positive. We had a LOT of new faces tonight. Happy to see you all! Hope you had at least SOME fun tonight!

It's been fun have a few off weeks of just running normal mishes. Sometimes it is hard to commit to a TF. And it was nice having enough to run two different teams. I look forward to the Winter Event and Halloween Event - two+ Rad teams will melt though the GM's and rack up the merits!

I will be out of town next week so you all have fun, but not too much!

Riches/Radical Burner out!
