I usually don't mess w/ TF settings. Maybe you all could run the first part at +2, and then scale it down right before that last mission? I'm not sure if the level you are at before starting affects it, or if it's the level of the team leader right before you enter the mission.
You don't get a chance to swap during the second portion (fighting through the sewers). So basically you come off fighting at the floating base and have to swap difficulty then and there. Part 2 is one of those chained-objective missions. The first portion happens in the sewers and is analogous to one mission, then the "exit" dumps you into the entrance of the next mission.

Honestly, we could have handled the floating fortress mission and the sewer portions at +4. The Fusion/Jane Tremblor fight was a joke. We burned them down without even trying. It's just the mechanics of the Duray fight is pure hax (in my not-so-humble opinion). I'm getting mightily tired (already) of mitigating the effects of certain AT powers by simply ignoring them outright.

Wanted to bump this up as a reminder. I ran into a couple former participants this weekend that might show up.

So what's the plan for tonight? Work on the WTF? Tips? Incarnate trials (though I could certainly use a break from that )? Try the Sutter TF again? Hope to see you tonight!

Hated to have to leave tonight. My ISP hasn't fully recovered, possibly some of the most epic lagging I've ever seen, really.

Sorry about missing tonight guys. Had hoped I'd have finished moving but didn't get done until way late and the forums weren't working for me for some reason earlier today. So no chance to warn you.

Unfortunatley I had to bow out early - daughter had a meltdown. We ran a couple tip missions and went our separate ways. That last mission - team of 3, set to a team of 8 +1 level, against Knives of Artemis, was crazy, but in a fun way. Would love to have run more. Hopefully next week will be better.

Gah!

Went to lay down for about an hour and a half and boom.. It's 11:00!

Sorry about missing tonight guys. Apparently someone chain-sleep'ed me tonight.

We ran two tips before I scampered Red side for the Reichman SF.

I pinged 49 on the first. The second was a real challenge, clearing Grandville. I've never run that, but then again I tend to run vigilante tips. I'll have to say that Mutation should be a required Frad Superteam power rather than a suggestion.

The real challenge with the Grandville was the combo of ambushes and the groups being close together so you could accidentally aggro another. This put you in the center with only around 2/3 w/i your PBAoEs.

I wish we could pull that one up via Ouro or something to show you, Hyper. It really showed us how much the Frads rock. And the easy rez was part of how we rocked, not a weakness.

I had both morality missions available to me, and I thought Arachnos would be better than Malta. Plus I think the spawns are more numerous on the Grandville map. We were a team of 4, running it +1, team of 8.

Besides Postie's level up, Pesticle, too, hit 49. I thought we did very well, especially when the spawns appeared on top of the mobs that were already in place. Otherwise it was a casual evening.

The Hoarde is running two team on LGTF and possibly some overflow. I figure if we get some melee for Hami, that'd be a good one.

And before, dont' we have someone who needs to unlock Alpha? I personally loved doing the second [3rd?] Alpha unlock mission. The one with Honoree. The other two were just cake walks.

I should ping 50 tonight. Then it'll be a mad scramble to get my Interface unlocked and slotted before they nerf Reactive. ITF'd be good to get some Shards for Cardiac, which I need.

Or tips, whatever. I can't decide if I want to go villain for the epics, just out of novelty. Not thrilled with our hero choices.

Sometimes we get great nights, the Grandville thing was great and tonight rocked too. Though the way we ate through the Honoree mish in the Alpha unlock, you'd think the devs would give us more than just +4. We needed at least +6/20.

OH...

I hit 50. My fourth one. And KF has been only run on Mondays with the Frads.

[edit: I wasn't clear. I was able to get Mender R to take me, I just had to walk up to the spire.]

We did have an issue when we were in Ouro getting Mender R to let me do it. I was trained, I got there with my portal [assume Entrusted with the Secret], and I had GR.

But no. KF got the ouro portal when she was around level 12 or so. She was on a team that set a flashback mission and she met them in Perez. When she finished the mish, she had the portal that she couldn't use. At 25, she could use it. That was with the Frads, so Tid or Hyper might remember.

edited to add: Had to find the thread from when I was being told this doesn't happen, getting the portal early when others started the mish in a different zone. http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?p=2758115 Now, I still say that I remember it as them taking an ouro portal to go set the mish. I wasn't in a SG base...if I remember right.

Heck, we're just too powerful. I forget that.

Congrats to Post on the new 50 and to everyone else on the group who made levels (yes, plural) tonight.

Was a hell of a run. We started out +2x8 and then, after we insta-melted Trapdoor, we cranked it to +4x8 for the Honoree mission.

Still waiting to see when it gets tough... We just burned right through the mission and never missed a beat.

Co congrats to Kaylee as the newest Incarnate as well!

If pictures are worth a thousand words, this one is the thousand or so that'd sum up how tonight went.

Everywhere in Paragon City, the Rogue Islands, and all points in between, parallel and outside, heroes and villains (as well as vigilantes, rogues, loyalists and resistance) stopped in the process of beating the living snot out of each other to turn their heads and go "What the hell was THAT?"

As always, an absolute party with you guys.

Hey. Dumb question for all of you guys.

Since Memorial Day is a holiday (at least in the US), would anyone be interested in starting earlier?

If so, how much?

Got no clue, my brother-in-law's family will spring get-together times on us at the last minute. Might be there at the regular time, might not.

I'll check this thread to see if it's at another time, etc.

Hi guys, I finally trained my Frad up to level 43 from level 38 and to be honest I was taking powers and slots with no real build in mind because the one i had got lost (ok I keep my stuff next to where I play and wifey cleaned up and threw it all away).

I went back to check a build that was posted on the original Frad thread but I could not find it.

Can someone anyone threw up their build or a suggest build. This toon had plenty of rich suga mama's and daddi's so funds will not be an issues. I want to repec my toon out of the crap that I took over the last 6-7 levels and get on the path for a kick *** lvl 50.

Thanks

This is what I planned on working toward, but I'm not so sure now. It might be an endurance issue at this point. Also I think I'm way past the point of diminishing returns on my quest for permahasten. I've discovered on my main blaster that her 8 second overlap means nothing since I usually don't stop attacking and it just sits there waiting to fire for a long time.

I know some of us went for Earth Mastery for the defensive shield, but I find that rocky exterior to be hideous. Fire Mastery was a much better fit, thematically and functionally. I love consume when I'm running a bit low on End, especially when I've fired off EM Pulse. I also went with cardiac on the Alpha, both for End, and the resistance bonus which pairs nicely with Fire Shield.

Build priorities in terms of enhancement:

Endurance Reduction
Hold
Damage
Accuracy
Neat secondary effects (the GravAnchor proc and the Lockdown procs)

I basically decided to forego damage enhancements in Char and Flashfire. Instead I opted for Hold and Stun as keeping them from attacking lets things like Hot Feet and Imps finish them off faster.
Fissure's slotting needs to be reworked. I need to remove the EndMod IO and drop in something for Accuracy as it's current accuracy sucks a pair of rularuu overseers.

While I admit that Smoke can be a great power, my build is primarily for pseudotanking for the group. I eat a purple, rush in like a moron, waggle my hand in front of my nose and drop a firey raspberry on the enemy then hope like hell my teammates get in there and heal me before I end up smootching linoleum.

This is the part that brings in the comic relief... we sometimes roll the dice to see which mob we are gona sit back and watch smoke you as we stil back, drink and drink a beer before we go in for the rescue.

Which reminds me of my two warcries: "oops" and "dammit"

But hey, Mutation FTW.

What I've got to get you guys in the habit of doing is not just "Mutation" though.

If one of us splashes down, we want Vengeance, Fallout, Mutation. This way we go back to butt-kicking with the team buffed, our enemies blasted, and our guy rezzed, as opposed to just the last one.

This is one of the other reasons I have TP friend. If one of you guys drops, I like TP'ing you right into the middle of a mob and turning you into a corpse nuke.

Thought I'd bump this up as a reminder, and to see if anyone will be on tonight.

I'll be there for an hour, then I'm taking my ice tank on Synapse.

I'd prefer to work vigilante missions so KF can do content on both sides. Though that hero alignment mish, in fact a lot of people hate it, where you clean up Grandville, that was epic.
