I'm a bad man. I'm going to bail on you tonight so I can run the ITF with my MA/Inv to get the nictus piece, NotW, and some shards.

[Though, if I did run w the frads, Kaylee Foxtrot would probably ding 47 and I could fix her broken self. She really can't run with a normal team except for buffs and imps she's so endurance broken.]

Aye. With several of us sporting newly minted Incarnate abilities, I foresee much pain for the Cimeroran traitors...

Sorry you won't be there tonight. And don't worry. Get yourself to 50 and the Cardiac Alpha makes a HUGE difference. You can actually mow down entire 8-man spawns without needing to pop blues or huff after every group.

Oh, and that cloud you'll see in the west? That's not a forest fire. That's Cimerora...burning...

I've got KF about 1/2 to her pre-47 plan, which is tons better than the way she was. I'm not sure I'll be able to get all five sets of Basilisks like I was planning, but, eh, life is rough.

Next week we need to do something very difficult as a test. Or tips, for a-merits, set to +4. Anything but ITF [done too much lately], Citidel, or the Shard [both the most irritating things ever].

One part of the "new" Posi is the WTF. Wouldn't mind doing that.

Does that chop off our powers at 20 or 25?

So, 20 and 21.

I lose my Choking Cloud but keep my Cinders. I'm hoping my respec/reslotting can keep me viable even without stacked AM. Though I'm unlikely to not have AM unless I faceplant, and that'd be less than a minute at that.

And as the WTF has changed back to Psyche, I'm open to anything. Perhaps another try at the ITF?

You know what I'd like to try...The statesman/honoree/whatever mish from the Alpha unlock. Though we'd need someone who's a 50 w/o it unlocked...and can a non-50 help?

Sis Psyche sounds OK. ITF sounds good. If SPTF can be done quick enough, both. Just no respec, no Citidel.

Edit: Admiral Sutter TF, hmm?

If you guys want to run the Incarnate unlock arc, I'm all for that. Unfortunately I don't have any heroes on Freedom who aren't unlocked. So if we're going to run it, one of you guys needs to be locked from it still.

Conveniently, Greased Wheels was a new 50 so we ran the Mender Ram arc at +4x8 and just ate it with only 4 Frads. But, Hyper and Tidbit were spamming the Judgement and Lore on us, so there was that.

Then we started tip mishs at the same level and ate them, even after Greased had to go. Until...Stupid Longbow and their Wardens and low XP at that. [I was the only one not a 50, so I cared about that.]

Overall, a good time had by all. And though we're getting less than a full team lately, the core group is getting really uber.

This week went quite well, even with the low turnout.

First mish of Ramiel was +0x4 due to miscommunication. We ripped through it AND Trapdoor. Literally, 30 seconds from full HP to begging for his life.

Next one we bumped to +2x8 (was still being conservative) with AVs.

While it took a little bit to whittle the Honoree down, we were simultaneously cooking Holtz. My comment at the end? "Shoulda gone +4"

Went +4 for the final mish and just ate it up.

First of the alignment mission. Just killed and killed and killed.

The next mish was the one with all the Arachnos in the ship. It bugged somehow and came out +0x8. Not sure what happened. We tore through it.

Final one was that freaking Longbow mish. And the fact that they were giving such paltry XP doesn't surprise me, having played villain-side and become sick-to-death of Longbow.

For those who aren't aware. The Rikti mission was averaging 135K XP a sec for Post. The Longbow mission? 55K a sec.

The 135k was heading into the Honoree mish. And that's very accurate as I'd just started Herostats. There's quite a lag due to the averaging. After we'd quit and I was standing in WW, it was still reading that I was making 20k per min so probably less than the 55k w the Longbow.

I'm wondering if you guys being 50++ had anything to do with how pumped up the longbow were. I was gulping acc insp and actually finding my stone epic melee was hitting the most reliably, and it only has two slugfests in it.

Longbow are quick death for my imps. Very quick. Veeeeery quick.

How about Sutter tonight?

My thought exactly. 0/x8! Or, if we have a full eight, +2.

Rather than stealthing the blow-em-up controls outside, we should kill all.

We'd still have all our core powers, so this would be sweet.

I have no idea how the end would play out. I can't fly anymore except with a raptor pack.

Have we ever considered moving our team date from a Monday to a different weekday so it doesn't compete with the Hoarde? Probably get better turnout, and I know I'd like to do both.

Posted

We've tried Fridays, and that didn't work out so well. And there are a lot of activities on servers, so I don't know if one is better than another (Tanker Tuesdays, scheduled Hami Raids, etc). I think it has been light of late because of Issue 20. And soon we'll have the anniversary. Surely it is not because people are. . . burned out?

We had good turnout tonight. Seven of us ate the bots on the ships, ate the Sky Raiders in the ships, around the place in general, and basically did a kill all, just breezing along until the Duray Brothers.

However, before we get into that, it is the coolest thing ever to see those bomb guys constant ambush on us as we're killing the AVs just get stuck. I don't think they were held. I think the slow stacked or they were too much in each others way, but I swear there were 50 of them in a 20 ft length on that staircase to the AV's dais.

The Duray Brothers...well, my Frad, Kaylee Foxtrot, got to meet Charlie Foxtrot* tonight. Our AT just wasn't suited for the tp and air strikes. I'm not sure if it was a full 30 min or 45, but it got old....very old.

One of the main problems is that if we run hot feet, we can't see the air strike symbols on the ground. It just didn't work out.

But, up to that time a good time was had by all. Nothing like seeing six giant WarSomethings choking as tiny people throw fire on them. Ha.

*look it up, kids, I'm not explaining it to you.

Didn't help that we were +2. Now we know better.

You all might want to try it again after today's patch. I would suggest lowering it from +2 however

But in the new patch, if you pull them underground (like under the top bridge), I don't think the airstrikes can hit you. At least that's my understanding of it.

Well I had a fun night… It had been a long time since I ran with the Monday Night Frads and had a blast. I did have a few map serve issues but still fun even though we did not finish Sutter attacking all those +3’s to me and watching them melt was a lot of fun.

I look forward to running Monday nights as my RL schedule has changed for the summer.

The +2 didn't bother us at all until then.

Luna, yeah, the strikes don't happen below the overpasses. I fell during one and it was clear. The air strikes do seem to be unresistable auto-hit, as I popped four def and four resist insps and died instantly once attacked by the air strike and Praetor D.

Oh, and I pinged 47.

Sorry about the debacle last night guys. Ah well, learning experience.

Just REALLY aggravated that we have yet another gimmick fight where stacked holds on an AV do nothing to slow or halt auto-teleport and auto-fire, auto-hit powers.

Still wondering how you call in an airstrike when you're choking.

Maybe we can give this a try next week, post patch and we'll dial back the diff to +0x8. It'll make for a boring killfest, but c'est la vie.

I did not like the idea that to be effective you almost had to have a flying power, even though they can be easily obtained. And the spawns that camped out by the hospital were annoying. But until that point, it was indeed fun.

Well as of yesterday, the air strikes *could* hit you under the bridge. Several of us get smacked in the hospital last Wed lol. But the patch should fix that.

I usually don't mess w/ TF settings. Maybe you all could run the first part at +2, and then scale it down right before that last mission? I'm not sure if the level you are at before starting affects it, or if it's the level of the team leader right before you enter the mission.
