Citadel is in serious trouble! ... Can you help, hero?

This arc is a race against the clock. It's a lot of fun to play and challenge yourself to see if you can save Citadel in time.

This arc is a fun, creative story that is very well-written. It is a great arc for new heroes to play. Think of Outbroken as a follow up to Outbreak. I loved the custom group "New Heroes" and the great humor that is sprinkled throughout the NPC dialog.

The arc is just challenging enough to be fun. The last mission is a very creative race against the clock.

Strongly recommended for low level heroes who enjoy humor, plot and fun play!

I found this arc in PW's Contact Tree thread. It was lots of fun to play and so funny. It had great mission titles. I loved the contact, Latin Lava. There was lots of the NPC dialog that made me smile.

If you are looking for a funny higher level arc, this is a good choice.

Thanks Bubbawheat and Gypsy Rose! I haven't had much time for this forum, but I still managed a couple of hours after midnight on several nights to get Outbroken to what I wanted it to be. Hopefully your appreciation will be infectious .

Oh - and thanks Gypsy Rose for promoting it even further! That was very kind.

I know that many authors who have arcs already posted in this list have other great arcs as well.

I have seen a huge decrease in overall posts on this forum since a year ago, and I am not sure if there are likely to be many new posters in this thread... So, if any of you who have already posted here have another 4 star arc you want to promote, feel free to do so.

Just play one from the list that you haven't played and post on this thread what you liked about it, or suggest another 4 star arc by another author and then suggest one of your own.

I am a bit surprised that this arc only has 4 stars nowadays, it is a brilliant piece.

Skipper LeGrange asks you to rid Croatoa of a dangerous faerie creature called the "Love Talker."

This arc has a really solid story that kept me wanting to play. It is very well written and has some small bits of humor mixed in. It has great map choices for atmosphere, lots of clues, and some nice customs.

My Arc (63175) is atm unable to be played. A recent patch has I guess lowered the amount of encounters in one or more maps. The weird thing is that I do not get any error notifications. Currently working on fixing it.

Edit:
Hopefully its fixed now. Had to remove an encounter in the third mission.

This was submitted for Aeon's second challenge and it's very well written with several of the characters going through their own arcs throughout this... arc.
I played Past Echoes of Tomorrow.

This arc was extremely well written and full of great clues. It had a story that made me want to keep playing to see what was going to happen next. I especially loved the contact which was Numia. Her dialog was written in a way that grabbed my interest right away.

Thanks to Bubba for recommending it!

I found this arc in the Dev's Choice Suggestion thread and I can see why it was recommended. It is a dark arc that does an excellent job of conveying the theme of hopelessness suggested by the title. If you are in the mood to play something dark, I definitely recommend this arc.

This arc was very well written and lots of fun to play. It had a nice story with good clues and was easy to solo. What I liked best was the hero Cyrene. She had a great look and really great bio! Thank you for submitting your arc to this thread. I really enjoyed it!

This was a fun, amusing, lowbie arc. I liked the fact that the story is supposed to be humorous rather than serious but it is not too silly to take you out of your character (for those to whom such things matter).

My own arc is also a lowbie arc, ideally for a brand new character, but playable by levels 1-14.

When I abandoned my arc review thread, I did so after feeling that the natural selection process of the arc system meant that if I did not personally pimp and advocate for my arc - and aggressively push for attention, it wouldn't get any. I stopped making arcs, barring for two or three private-showing things, and I just figured the AE was a dead field only useful for when my immediate friends asked me to look into it.

So I was really freaking surprised that, when completely out of the blue, without any prompting from me, Arrow sent me a tell. It was a really touching thing to find that someone was looking through the 4-stars and looking at that stuff.

I totally know what you mean. There are far too few players in the AE game. I try to play a lot of arcs but it's a big field and there are a lot of broken, neglected arcs.

Yeah, they really need to come up with a system to cull old unmaintained/unplayed arcs. Right now, you can cut out "work in progress" from your search options to eliminate a lot of them, but that doesn't wipe out any post i16(I think?) farms or any other recent junky arcs.

Deepest thanks! That particular arc has been sitting more or less ignored for months (pretty much since the Player's Choice contest, actually), so I'm particularly appreciative of any plays! One accompanied by a recommendation is just icing on the cake! Thanks again!
