I was thinking I didn't have any sword users that were high enough. But then I remembered I had a DB Tanker and a Nin/Nin Stalker. Put me down as a maybe with the Stalker.

It depends on if I have consumed enough rum by then. What are the chances?

Anyway, I have a BS/WP scrapper that may be able to make the cut.....

Yeah, I went there.

Yeah, and just ignore Ham's comments. You know he's jealous of Stalkers.

Not sure what was up with Honoree there. I thought we were having a hard time dropping him fast enough, but then I realized only about half of us were attacking him... was much different once all eight of us were slicing and dicing away.

Made it to 50 with my Stalker, too- my first level 50 villain outside of Isos. Think I've been working on him for a year or two.

Wanted to point out that this basically turned into a defeat all/defeat most everything in sight, hence the time on it.

And someone took out the pylons while fighting Honoree, so there were additional mobs throughout the fight that didn't really help matters.

25 deaths: Only 1 was mine after, I was left trying to solo the 3 EBs while being feared, -regen'd and terrorized. Never a good mix

Man I love pissing off the yellow mitos and zerging the Rikti groups. That never gets old.

I feel the need to point out whose fault that is.

2 deaths were mine. 1st was on the 3 Riders fight, but I'm still not sure why that fight went so badly. I did the exact same thing the 2nd time around and had no issues.

2nd death was entirely my fault for stopping to read tells in the middle of "why bother pulling" Honoree fight.

I'll confess, that tactic seemed to work better on this run than I seen previously.

Never seen it not work, as long as the pully can avoid being KB'd and doesn't get 2 shot by the yellow mitos.

Off hand, can't remember if Defense works against their attacks well, but if I'm on a melee or high defense or anti-KB character, I always swing around the ring causing chaos.

How does pulling the yellow mitos work? You shoot when and get its aggro, then run into a rikti group? Haven't seen what was going on clearly enough.

Zero deaths from this lowly stalker.

The yellow mitos do toxic damage with no position to them so there is no real 'defense' to their attacks. You can bring EoEs but that seems kind of silly. I think what Voodoo and Des are describing is running into the goo then out into a group of rikti around a plyon. You will often see a huge blast that KBs(and sometimes kills) the rikti coming from the goo. I have always assumed it was hami shooting at you with a AoE type of attack, but I guess its the yellows. The great thing about doing this is that those rikti that survive will aggro on the mitos. This helps by reducing the aggro on the team (the rikti act as cannonfodder) and sometime they actually take down a mito or two with their attacks.

The reverse actually. You aggro the Rikti, then run into the goo. Once the Rikti are on the goo, run off. You'll typically lose aggro due to distance and/or Mitos attacking the Rikti. Do this with all the spawns around the pylons and the Mitos will have so many things to shoot at, they'll rarely stay on a player for very long.

The dispute I have over this is whether to take out the Pylons first or drag the Rikti first. Previously, I've seen the Rikti get wiped out faster then we clear the pylons, essentially leaving little benefit to the tactic. In this particular run, all but three Mitos were gone by the time the Rikti were wiped out, which was obviously effective and efficient.

Attack the mitos WITH the Rikti. They provide cover and additional damage.

I like to it a little differently, have someone with high melee damage aggro the Rikti and then fly up and over the goo to the opposite side dragging the Rikti behind them. Once all 6 groups are engaged they pop an EoE and take out what's left of the yellows. By the time the rest of the team has taken out the pylons, the yellows and Rikti are down and you can start on the bules and greens. Also the greens do toxic damage not the yellows. The yellows, blues, and Hamidon do special damage which no one has resistance to. An EoE will cap your resistance to their damage but won't protect you from their special effects (fear, end drain, KB, etc.).

It is better to ask forgiveness than permission.

What I do is range attack a Yellow Mito, and land near the Pylon. Mito does splash damage, and after a second hit, enough Rikti are pissed off they'll return fire on the Mito. The mito then forgets about me, and I move on to the next one. I only use EoEs if the character I have doesn't have high HP or high regen; didn't bother/didn't need one last night at all. Most everyone else got pwned by Hamidon as well. /e flex2

If you try the same with Hamidon, it's also splash damage, but a) hurts more and b) usually gets other mitos to attack you as well. Generally takes longer for any of them to lose you as their aggro, and if you start getting zapped or -regen'd, it's not worth it.

Minor nitpick - Mitos and Hamidon do "Special" damage. It's a damage type just like smash, lethal, etc, except that players don't have access to resistance for it - except via EoEs.

Green Mitos, however, seem to deal toxic damage.
