...I think Bindweed DID use crayons .. he only slipped up and SAID marker.. plus hes in a country with strange currency... over there, "marker" means a type of crayon.. they probably use THAT type of crayon for MARKING things (* like Koalas or Pandas or whatevers over there *) and therefore call it a marker..

and plus it DOSE look like crayon.. any marker he used or did not have used... didnt do jack for the over all image..

plus I like the look of the womans boobs..

When I first saw it I thought Wax crayon. the problem is he said he used felt tip marker.

which is essentially what a prismacolor or other such thing is.

Indeed it is. I was rushing to do a last moment thing, which is why I wasn't thinking clearly about the term 'marker', but, as CR has pointed out, Wassy also specifically mentions 'pens' in the OP. not that it's necessary - I interact with American English more than enough to understand you colonials . My real problem is that I didn't read the post properly, because I'm a lazy pillock.

I don't know why these pens ended up looking like crayon - they don't to me, I have to admit. The scanner really has zapped the thing, though - it looks like a victim of a Dalek extermination gun, it's so bright...

I have to say, too, there are some fantastic entries this month. The novelty of the materials has really sparked people's imaginations, and it's all really quite excellent!

EDIT: Don't fret Tartyr - there will always be more boobs...

Ooo, Dr. Who reference.

I thought maybe I would have the time to make a better Entry using my playdough but I just ran out of time so I am going to go with my Claytesman from way back in the beginning of the month.

Already submitted in the FArt folder.

Looks like everyone had so much fun! I really like the ones with construction papers. Bindweed's DQ was unfortunate, but that is great stuff in its own.

I had more frustration than fun, because I was trying to use cheap dollar store crayons on black paper, and it totally sucked. My official entry is the crappy crayon version, but I wanted to have some fun too, so I went ahead and did oil pastel and digital versions as well.

Nice, now there's just Tartyr and Caemgen left to post their finished pieces. And Bindweed - just grab some cheap crayons from the dollar store (pound store? discount store?) Let's have an elimination and not a drop-out this month!!

Just to check, LD, is the character from one of those groups referenced in your sig?

Penguin Diva (sonic/dark corrupter) belongs to a friend, and she was originally in the Antarctic Family. We migrated some of our penguins to Freedom for Sirens PVP during the free transfers, and Diva was one of those. The new VG on that server is named The Igloo.

Alright. Looked like pencil at the thumb size.

Yeah, I'm hoping that people just put something o paper (or sidewalk) for this one.

I wasn't really feeling the vibe this month, but I'm glad I put something in - it leaves me with the option of next month.

It's strange LD, but, of the three, I actually like the crayon version the best. The texture of the paper (and I guess the cheapness of the crayons) give the piece a very interesting look.

Tartyrsauce - She's cute!

Lousy_Day - as I said over on DA, I DO like the digital version best, but I'm glad you did the crayon-on-paper version anyway!

ScooterTwo - Kudos on that! I tried sculpting once or twice - its a lot harder than I thought!

What? Nothing from Caemgen? awww, man!

Ya, this month made for some interesting choices for preferred mediums. I like Scoot's Claytesman, but Scoots...where is the hot chick?

I DQ'd myself last month for not including a hot chick. I know, I know - It seems like everyone was willing to let me count Alice as my hot chick but since when doing the picture I was totally thinking of my Alice as the original 7 and a half year old girl from the original book... Not thinking of 7 and a half year olds, I certainly did not intend her to meet the hot chick requirement.

Yeah, stupid to DQ myself when Wassy said it was good... But I am no stranger to doing stupid things. I often pick such stupid little things to be nitpicky about and stick to the letter of the law (or intent or whatever) even if it's detrimental to me. *shrug*

But just because I DQ'd myself doesn't mean I'm not going to play along... I just wanted to wait until the deadline was past to post my entry so that someone wouldn't put me in the voting process despite my stupid little stance

So, below is my non-entry... I guess you could say it's a little bit of a performance piece? I didn't want to just use kindergarten materials, I wanted to make a kindergarten piece entirely... So I was thinking, what would Caemgen had done in art while in kindergarten?? And after deciding that, I got to the performance part because I started asking myself how the other kids would react to him? So, my non-entry entitled "A Mother's Love"

I figured kids are cruel and would be crueler to Caemgen by far... So I envisioned the little brats snatching away that artwork that Caemgen was so proud of and balling it up, even ripping it up on him. Of course Caemgen's mother would love it, wrinkled and ripped or not, and would give it it's rightful place of honor up on the fridge...

(The dad part is just blank because Caemgen never knew his dad... But I igured in typical public school style, the teacher would probably insist the kids include both parents.)

And just because I had to preserve my masterpiece before I got to the performance part of it, here's the original:

Well, I'm sorry to see you DQ yourself on the Alice thing.

but this piece woulda fit right in this month's theme. (and I love the "Performance Piece"-ness of it! Thumbs-Up for that!)
