Me and 2 mates just tried to team up in RWZ 2 villains 1 hero...but we couldnt for a moment because of this:

FACTION Only: Currently, you cannot add members to your team who are not in the same faction as you.
Something for GR? and the factions of heroes going villains etc.

we sorted it by quitting and reviting fresh...ftw but i was wondering if anyone has seen this yet?

Happened a lot when Pocket D got cross faction, and again during the RWZ revamp. Most likely has something to do with GR having a more robust factioning system and all maps getting re-flagged to one degree or another, but it's by no means a new bug.

Just to make sure - you were all (the team and the prospective invitee) in the same instance of the Rikti War Zone, right? Not some in RWZ 1, and some in 2?

Negaduck: I see you found the crumb. I knew you'd never notice the huge flag.

Really wish we could just invite people anyway. I mean, if I'm in RWZ on a Brute and I invite a Blaster in Atlas, that doesn't mean I can go to Atlas. It's a hassle having to make people come to RWZ before I can invite them.

You'd be amazed at how many different ways people came up with to get items to the other faction. The Devs had to be pretty draconian to stop 'em. I don't want to get into the "markets should be merged" argument, but I can see it coming like a herd of lemmings.

So you think you're a hero, huh.

I think the primary issue is something along the lines of:
- Invite Blaster
- Give Blaster star
- Blaster sets mission in Hero zone
- Brute activates Mission Teleport

Of course, they could probably set up the zone teleport so that it makes sure you're allowed to enter the zone, but it's just another source for bugs to come from.

Missions are already set up like "Hero Mission" so you can't set a mission that's in Atlas if you're on a team with a Brute. Also, there's already a "you can't teleport to this zone" mechanic. Try teleporting to a friend in Outbreak! This issue is already locked from both sides.

SOME missions are. Not all missions have the hero/villain flag, and the ones that don't aren't all in co-op zones.

You could still have the same scenario ifthe brute and blaster were on the same team in RWZ, and one set a non-Hero-flagged mission in a hero zone. The brute can fire his mission porter, but it will fail.

What the Hero/Villain flag does is stop the mission from even being selected with the wrong mix on the team. And I suspect that's what happened to the OP. If they had a Hero only mission active (red star on the mission rather than yellow), then a villain can't join the team until the mission is completed or de-selected.
