I have a new computer with windows 7 and after downloading the coh_updater and installing the patches (etc), all i get is the familiar "Duh Duh" music. No video. My card is supported. What is going on? Is it Win 7?

its possible, the tech support section had a few posts regarding coh and win7, I dont know what the problems were (still on vista) but you might wanna start there?

As for 7, can't say i've had any issues running CoH with it. I was using the beta version of it for a year and now i'm running a full version and still haven't had any problems. This may sound dumb but trying right clicking the game and running it as an administrator. If that doesn't work right click it, go to properties, then compatibility and check either vista or XP and see if that helps any.
I did the XP compatibility thing. Still getting the music, no screen. I'll try the admin.
Don't expect Win7 to install the latest video drivers. If it's an nVidia, they rolled back to a previous driver (192.25 I think.) If it's an ATI, make sure you have Catalyst 10.1 or 10.2 installed.
There are a couple of threads up in the tech forums about both.

Now to find a suitable hero planner. Mids doesn't install on Win 7.

Mids installs, but you have to install it in a different place, like Your Documents, rather than where it wants to install. My friend had the same issue.
