Downloading CoH on new comp
Short of copying from your other machine, or installing from a disk, not really.

If you do have it downloaded on another computer, check out BillZBubba's Guide for Moving CoH or Installing Test.

found my GoodvsEvil disk thank for link though.
On this comp (new one is being used by someone else presently) my gaming experience was as follows:
-->it would take about 12 minutes to get to login screen
-->about 3 minutes on first load in after I opened it and average 6 after that in low average traffic zones on freedom, best loads were like 2 minutes and anything considered near busy and it averaged about 10 minutes.
-->I had the graphics down to a point I don't think it will let me get to on the new comp
--> had 504 mb of ram and many people commented it was a miracle I could play
--> it was average for me to disconnect, map-serve, or crash ever 4 loads
-->It was a danger for me to use WW and would take 4-10 minutes to load it and was extremely slow to use.
--> when I dced if I did not close and reopen CoH I would dc upon reloading
Now:
-->recommended graphics looks like I upgraded from Nintendo(original) to a 360
-->about a minute to load login screen and less then 20 seconds to zone
--> I zone in just a few seconds(said WW which is from a totally separate game)
Its so beautiful and fast I cried.
Had a similiar experience when I saw a friend play the game on a EIGHT THOUSAND dollar video-toaster-movie-editor-space-shuttle-launcher.
So beautiful...
Ultra Mode coming... Must upgrade....

I just ordered a new computer (thanks to a nice tax refund), and I'm using this:

to move my live COX and test server COX versions to the new computer. I shouldn't have to download anything

1) Burn your entire CoH directory to a dvd.
2)Copy the contents onto your new computer in the C:\Program Files\city of heroes directory.
3) play the game )
If i am forgetting anything gang, please input. Its been a while since I have done this and may have missed a step.
Thats how I do it and that way you have a good copy of the game ( with recent updates/patches) incase anything horrible should go wrong.
Even if you don't use the disk again for 2 issues you don't have that much to DL.
Peace!

I keep my backup on USB thumb drive and a 2nd hard drive. I'm on dial-up so a drive crash would be very, very bad with a game this large.
