Two game "Myths" I know of which have been busted are:
After poping a yellow insperation, your next attack will miss.
If you go over and jump up and down on the body of defeated Freakshow, it prevents them from rezzing.
An Urban Legend that has been proven in the game is: That there is a photo of the original Dev team in the game. (Of course this is more of an Easter Egg type of thing.)

Peregrine Island's giant monster - the Goldfish.
Before Oro and Recluse's Victory (for getting the contaminated) there was a rumour that if you died in a mission in the Hollows and rezzed it would put you in Outbreak.
But mainly the giant goldfish.
Oh, and that the day before Rasta came back, Dank Astoria lost all its smoke cover.

My fav is that if you click the glowies in the respec mission, the last mission will be more difficult. Conversely, if you DON'T click the glowies, the temp powers won't be there.
That you could opt for a 5th Power Pool if you didn't choose an Ancillary/Patron Pool.
Found that out to be false the hard way.
I actually had to think about this.. And this is the one I remember...
I was told that if you placed your enhancements together in the slots of your powers it would have more of an effect. Like, if you had 3 dmgs, 2 accs, and 1 recharge... If it was scattered like, 1 dmg, 1 acc, 1 recharge, 1 dmg, 1 acc, and 1 dmg. The dmg value would be less as if they were together. And apart of that, if you placed a certain type of enhancement in the first slot, it would do more than if you placed it an other order.
Mine has been mentioned: Goldie 
{however I thought it was in Talos ... not PI ... *shrugs*}
& the photo of the dev team is on the Hospital sign in desk wall [stare at front door & look Rt] but everyone ignores because you're in a hurry to get back to the fight

Like if you say Trident boy 3 times, he will reactivite his account and come attack us with unreadable walls of text, and that Badge doesn't exist, he just a myth made-up to scare empath defenders at night :P

I know it doesn't actually make a difference, but I still group them when I can.
