Neo, be careful, your installer not only didn't work for me but it messed up my files/install.
I had to verify and correct my files before I could run CoH again and the updated maps are not there.

US, or EU install? I tried this on 3 Macs, all with a US install, and installed without a hitch. Either way, the installer does 3 simple things.
1.) Unpacks the maps into /Maps/Maps /Maps/V_Maps and /Maps/maps.command
2.) It then runs maps.command, to locate CoH, create the Data/texture/maps and v_maps directories, and copy the files into them
3.) Then cleanup after its self, by removing the /maps directory.

I used the installer, which opened terminal at the end (and made me very nervous) but I still only show the old vidiotmaps. Nothing as far as I can tell is updated.
I'm on the most recent leopard and I have to delete that preferences file every time I want to play, if that has anything to do with it. Although since my old map pack is still there I don't see why.
So for me, not working.
Does anyone know how I can just manually find the right folder to cut and paste the files into? I could find it on windows, but I can never find anything on a mac.
open applications, right click (ctrl click) City of Heroes, click show contents, navigate to Contents, then Resources, then transgaming, then c_drive, then "coh", data, texture_library, you can then replace MAPS and V_MAPS there.

Yeah mine does too. I'm not sure what is causing the issue for some people, I had 10 downloads of the installer, and 2 had issues. But it worked fine for my 3 macs...

Don't see why someone doesn't just post that plus the zip file on the website for the mac users.
I got a weird issue where it worked, but all the maps have two green lines on them splitting them into thirds. I think they are supposed to be tracking some GM movement or something, not sure what. Kind of annoying though. Any idea what I may have done wrong?

Ok, for those you haven't noticed or did't know.
I've included the Map Pack download on the download section of the site. You can visit the download page for the Map Pack Overlay and at the bottom I've included a link to the MAC files that you need.
Hope this helps you guys out. I'm not sure how the MAC operates as I don't have one, but thanks to one of the members of my forums, they kindly emailed me and gave me what I needed to post for everyone.
So I hope you all can enjoy them as the rest of us do

Thanks! Weird! I'm trying to get Mac version (I tried the PC version and it did download fine but can't use) Stainless, Firefox, and Safari all bring up the downloading menu but just sits there doing nothing (or gets a small portion) before it errors out. Not having prob downloading other things. Technology, ain't it grand.
First of all I'd like to point out that the Map intention was good - But the Mac version made the game completely dis-functional for my newer Macbook Pro that had been running perfectly since purchased 4 months ago. The author of the site was as helpful as could be but had no clue, he doesn't own a Mac to test.
Installed the map pack. Immediately after installing could not get to log in screen, just black screen, forever. Next launch I told it to verify files, which it did. Still black screen. Being a CPU repair technician for 20+ years I did all the basic repairs and file checks, then deleted the COH app (forgot my screenshots were in there so there goes my whole pic history unfortunately) and tried to re-install. The installer did not work. I finally had to make invisible files viewable and delete everything connected with the game (system files, prefs, et). The installer is working now and the long DL install is in process. Don't know what the problem is but the game does not like something installed by the Mac version map pack. I'm running the newest operating system, everything totally updated.
I installed it using the installer. It doesn't seem to have had any effect at all -- it didn't break anything, but it doesn't seem to have changed anything either.

For example, in Atlas Park, there should be a green mark in the center of the Globe the statue of atlas is holding up for the explore badge at the top. And two in city hall (one inside on the roof). If you don't have the map pack, those green marks don't appear.
