P.E.R.C. Presents The Rikti Global Offensive

Sounds kind of interesting, anyone interested in doing this? I as going to try for a LGTF tomorrow, too. Could practice up a bit for next week.

This was considered when coming up with details. Temp powers I.E. Shivs and nukes sure they will help versus Hami and the AV's but seriously the TF is not that hard.

And sure they still have there neme staffs, and buff pets. We didn't want to make it so people would feel gimped.

as for the the off team door buffs.

They only last between 90 seconds and 4 minutes. and there's nothing saying they can't use on team buffs.

as for reffing we specifically did not want to have to hold people's hands. However, I appreciate your offer.

This is going on on all servers for 12 hours, there simply no way we can put a P.E.R.C. rep on every team that enters across 11 servers. Plus there is no pre-registration. Essentially, We want to see how many player spawned Rikti invasions we can get over the course of the day.

This is an event being run across ALL servers at one time. There is no way that a rep could participate on every team.

As to your concerns, temp powers are allowed and EVERYONE can use them. Say one team doesn't have anyone with the vet recall power... well they can do the safeguard or mayhem to get the power prior to the event. Everyone can find a way to have access to base buffs and pvp temp powers.

Basically what I am saying is that if a team wants to have an advantage, they will be able to find it. The team who wants to prepare most will have an advantage, but that is in any competition of any sort. A tennis player who never practices is only relying on natural ability while a player who practices daily and works hard will be more likely to improve and do better.

What about difficulty? Does it have to be set at what? -1, +0, +1, +2 or whichever?

I mentioned in the global channels that there would be some prizes for this event that are specific to the Victory Server.

There are two ways to win prizes:
Any team on Victory that wins one of the first four cross server categories will be given 25 Million inf per team member!

Everyone who competes on Victory will be numbered and entered into a raffle. I will then use a random number generator to raffle prizes off! One person may win more than one prize.

Prizes:
1. 200 Million Influence
2. 200 Million Infamy
3. 50 Million Influence
4. 50 Million Infamy
5. Blaster/Defender Package: Full sets of Positron's Blast and Decimation
6. Tanker Package: Full sets of Crushing Impact, Aegis, and Mocking Beratement
7. Scrapper Package: Full sets of Touch of Death and Reactive Armor
8. Numina Regen/Recovery (level 50)
9. Regen Tissue +regen
10. Kismet +tohit, Steadfast -kb, Karma -kb, (added!) steadfast 3% defense

Edit: Scooter has offered to match enhancements prizes on Redside so winners will be able to choose which side they get their enhancement prizes on! Prizes specified are for blueside only, the redside choice may or may not be exactly the same. Added in a 3% defense as well.

In the spirit of togetherness that fighting the Rikti brings I will match MP's Prizes Red-side.

So any volunteers to drag lil ole me through this? Would have to be later at night though.

Also, depending on times, would gladly run it a couple of times on a different character for the other categories.

I'll raffle them off on Saturday night after the contest closes and all emails have been received. I'll try to post them that night or will post them the next morning. Remember, if you enter multiple categories, you will entered multiple times into the raffle!

Have we picked What the TBA sets are going to be?

Prizes for Blueside are posted! This is today everyone, I hope to see lots of entries!

Basilisk's Gaze and Lockdown are pretty good, and can get spendy. Another one is pretty useful if you're going for Smash/Lethal defense, so a fair amount of people go for them, too... though that isn't as expensive.

Though just about any of those sets listed will be useful or helpful for most ATs.

I only left room for three different sets and did not want to redo my whole post. Since I was giving more than one set at a time, I thought I would be cute and name them as packages . Also, I didn't have a set of lockdown or bas gaze to put up. And do be fair, controllers could use the decimations/posi blast too, as could warshades or pbs. It wasn't meant as like a restrictive thing, just a title, cause frankly any char could use any set depending on how you build it.

Oh and I love controllers, I have one of very primary and every secondary (though not quite at 50 yet).
