Any amount of paid time, so long as it adds up to three works. You could play a month in 2005, a month in 2007, and this month and earn it. Hang in there, and soon you'll be old and wrinkled like the rest of us!

It's not just "paid time" that counts toward vet time. Free time from inviting friends, free months, etc., also count.

Of course, this is ignoring the fact that this game is both great and addicting, and the OP will likely stay for three months straight anyways!

And just for the heck of it, it goes off the time you've actually played. If you buy a 1 year sub tomorrow that doesn't mean you instantly get the next 12 month's worth of vet rewards. You'll need to wait the appropriate amount of time before the vet reward gets unlocked.

All of this should display on your PlayNC account page (vet rewards that you have paid for enough time to get but haven't waited long enough are displayed in grey)

But the time does not need to be sequential in order for it to count.

Technically, its not played-paid time. Its more like elapsed paid time. Just wanting to me more precise.

Just adding...

Six months reward is lame, Greek letters.
Nine month are cool "belly shirts." 2 months away for me.

Six months used to be lame. Then they came up with the 57 month "50% off all costume changes" vet reward. Since in order to get to 57 months you get roughly 9-10 free tokens.

If you have a character who's actually been around the entire time you'll have upwards of 100 free tokens thanks to various instances over the years that have awarded all characters a free token per costume slot.

Last I looked CMA had about 90 free costume tokens and I've probably made use of 20 over the years so that 57 month reward really IS trash.

Hmm, well now that we've completely derailed the topic where should we go next?

PRECISELY. When every token translates to five for a standard high-level character, or SIX for a high level VEAT... *head shake*

As for this:

...justification for this decision (Greek letters) was posted on the Euro boards way back when as, "The NA player base requested it" (paraphrasing). I'm not saying that's what actually happened, but the point is--enough people asked for it that the Devs felt it was an equitable reward.

It's not paid time at all. It's any previous time spent subscribed to the game. The source of the time (paid or free) has nothing to do with it.

I can't remember the last time I actually paid for a costume change, and I don't even have 57mo yet...

You are correct. I wasn't thinking all that clearly this morning when I posted, or I would have made that distinction myself.

My main point was, however, that it was elapsed time, and not prepaid/donated time that had not elapsed yet.

Don't count your chickens until they've laid the golden omelet. Or something like that.

Well, what's to complain about getting a badge with the number 42 on it, eh?

It is the answer to The question. No complaints here.

And the badge reads: "You have been here for 42 months, could you be the answer after all?"

or something to that effect, the Ultimate Question is directly referenced in it.

Whats wrong with the 18 month - I love the Samurai Armour helmet pieces

And the 33?? I can't wait for this, having a permanent ranged temp power would make the early levels even easier!

If your mouse has greater processing power than your gfx card, the answer is yes.

He means everyone's crabbing about one of the few crappy months, but no one mentioned the many awesome months.

lol... your tone is like "ooooh, 3 whole months is forever". You're basically talking to people in this forum who've been here for five years or longer. Welcome to the game, and just wait and see... chances are you'll still be here in a year, maybe two, heck, maybe even five.

Haha, this reminds me of the commercial where two little girls are asked if they want a pony. The first girl gets a toy pony and the second girl gets a real pony, and the first looks on like "well, that's not fair". The cool part with Vet Rewards is everyone gets the toy pony AND the real pony!
