I guess Dark One didn't see the "No Loitering" sign. Spectral Demon Lords absolutely hate loitering.

Hee, hee. You are so right. I was in Faultline fighting Clockwork when I noticed my health was low and I was out of Greens. I instantly flew away and they followed, zapping me the whole time. I ducked inside the AE building and laughed when I saw them angerly peering inside the window. After I had rested and filled up on Inspirations I was about to leave when I noticed they were still there....waiting for me

I stood and stared at them through the window, and they looked at me.

I finally went out and defeated them.

Persistent...YES!

You think the zombie show would rock, wait until the Devouring Earth take the stage.

I'm not surprised.
I was with a teammate in Skyway when I aggro'ed a pair Clockwork. I knew I didn't have the damage to kill them and (FF/Energy Defender), but I could drag them away from the mission door so we could enter. I told my teammate I would tank the clocks so he could enter.
I turned on Personal Force Field and ran around through half of Skyway. I was quite surprised how far away I could get for how long and still have them shooting at me.
If Hellions or Skulls had that kind of dedication, they would be in the big leagues challenging the Freakshow for turf, not relagated to spray-painting KR.

In Beta, I used Clockwork whirlythings to test the 'death zone' inside the AE building. I'd agro the whirlies and head into the AE building. Then when I saw them outside the window, I TP-Foe'd them inside. They insta-died. Death zone works.

Maybe they should tax a villain everytime he/she/it robs a bank and throw more money at the schools. Or, just get rid of Westin Phipps.

There I was between a rock and a hard place. Then I thought, "What am I doing on this side of the rock?"

They tried to raise some money by having students sell candy, but it didn't go well. The Snakes thought the students were candy. A very ill-conceived venture. (although it did reduce overcrowding in the schools)

But the Spiderling Scout cookies did well!

That's what makes 'em so delicious. All-Natural ingredients chock full of Spiderling Scout-y goodness. You can tell by the crunch.

I am very close to putting an end to this heroic usurpation of my mad scientific genius, but a problem has occurred. Something has re-awoken many of the Devouring Earth specimens I had you capture, and now they're running riot in my own lab! They could well destroy my work if they are left unchecked. You must help me to subdue the beasts in my lab or else all will be lost.

You'll have to defeat all of the beasts, as well as recover 3 pieces of my work for safe keeping. As you know, I work for Operative Grillo on the Fury project. So, it, ah, isn't just my lab. There are other people there, and they are sort of my co-workers, so it might be good if you could get them out too. I may be mad, but I did just order some boxes of spiderling-scout candy from one of their daughters and I'll never get them if all of my co-workers are devoured.

You must contain the problem in my lab! And don't forget to save my co-workers or else I'll never get my boxes of spiderling sweets!

I catch it that you never watched that movie.

If it's Wednesday's line about Girl Scout cookies in "The Addams Family," then I did. I just couldn't remember the next line and didn't feel like googling it. I can't spend all my time online. (although it sure seems like I do)

Clockwork! Hate those buggers. Is it just me or is there one clockwork that will always hold you in a electric cage if you fly over Skyway, I swear, EVERY time.

Once I was fighting a mob of clockwork and they killed me. I hosp'd and when I left the hosp the were outside the door waiting for me!( The hospitable was about a block away from where I was fighting.) Now, this next part AMAZES me. I quickly went back in the hosp lobby and they followed me...still not sure how, and I think they either quickly left or died.

Ah, I just recalled one of my earliest CoH experiences.
Me and my buddy were hunting mobs in KR and we ran across something new to us. We found about 4 Paladins, all in one area. These were the first GM's we ever saw. We deduced that one of them must be the leader, and that if we take it out then they will all die. So me and my friend, both about level 14 blasters, decided to try and kill one... Yeah, you can see how THAT turned out. What ensued was a crazed run through the streets of Kings Row being followed by a GM.

Good times, good times.

Ha! That's an awesome story. I wish I could remember my early days. Stupid bad memory.

Unfortunately you'd have only been one Clockwork Paladin down and three more to go.

I know that now. :P Back then, not so much. And thats IF two blasters managed to take a Paladin.

That totally needs to be recreated, with the Indiana Jones theme music playing in the background.

"Clockwork ... WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE CLOCKWORK?!"

I'd love to see more unique AI applied to some enemies. It would stand to make some fights much more interesting.

If I remember right, there wasn't a next line, only uncomfortable silence. The Real Girl Scouts line was the scene ender.

I'd pay to see it.

I ran into the gross variance in "intelligence" of the Vahz mobs back shortly after the game's release. I'd finally gotten my AR/En Blaster her Snipe attack, and I'd joined a group that was doing a Vahz door mission in Steel Canyon. It was rough going; we had several near-wipes from all of the untyped damage as the Abominations tried to steamroller us. So when we had cleared the mobs from one of the rooms that had an overhanging balcony and a long corridor heading out from it, we hesitated before aggroing the mass of Abominations (no Reapers or Mortificators, just Abominations) at the far end of the corridor.

I volunteered to pull one/several, figuring that, with Snipe, I would be far enough away to limit the number of Abominations that would aggro. So I lined up on one, popped Build up, then Snipe... Abomination goes down. None of the rest notice. Okay, as a pull that was kind of lame, but... We try again. Build Up... Snipe... Abomination goes down. Still no reaction. One more time, and after the third Abomination drops without any sign of reaction from the rest of them, the Scrapper says "This is boring" and charges the Abominations, followed by most of the rest of the team. Predictably, Boring Lad is the first one to hit the floor on our team, but we finally clear the intersection.

Since then, though, when I can do it, it's always been my policy to take out the brains of the spawns and let the rest reset and go dumb before trying to take them.

Boring Lad was an idiot. He could have easily taken the Abominations on one by one, if he had avoided aggroing the others. It works just as easily with Challenge, or even just standing far enough away as you melee, as it does with Sniper shots.

I seriously think that whatever attribute or debuff they have completely counters the "warn others when I am attacked/killed" aggro. So it's not just perception radius. All you have to do is stay out of perception range, which is pretty small.
