Rule of 5 for I/O's

Nerfed would be the wrong terminology. They not exempt from the rule of five, thus there is no overpowering.

Aren't Purple sets unique? You have 10 powers that can take purples, but some of those must be doubling up on the same purple set.
All purples are uniques, which makes each set only slottable in one power max. Their set bonuses are limited by the Law of Fives just like any other set.
Additionally, set bonus-like IOs, such as Knockback Protection, have a Law of Fives as well. You can only have, say, 5 Karmas for -20KB, of you're that crazy. I beileve you can still have 3 Karmas and 3 Zephyrs, though.

Likewise, you could stack 5 LotG +7.5% Recharge with 5 Kinetic Crash for 10 7.5% recharge bonuses.
I'm not aware of any other specials that mimic set bonuses.

True, there are ten purple sets, but don't forget that PvP IO sets also act (more or less) purple-ish.

Unique just means you can't slot the same enhancement twice. You could slot the set into 6 different powers (garnering no set bonuses), into 3 different powers (2 IOs per power, getting the first bonus 3 times), into 2 different powers (3 IOs per power, getting the first and second bonus twice each), or into 1 power (getting all 5 set bonuses). You could also do 4 or 5 with uneven distribution of the enhancements.

4 of the 7 assault sets and water spout in leviathan mastery can take stun sets though, so the total of not-actually-stackable-but-slottable 10% recharge bonuses is still 9.

Does the rule of 5 apply to purple sets. I.E. the 10% recharge. My Dom can possible slot 10 purple sets which would = 100% global recharge. Probably nerfed though right?
