Very cool idea!

ok, me first. It's my most recent costume slot for my Burnt Matchstick blaster. I'm just plain not happy with it, even though I've gotten a couple compliments on it. Here's what it is now:
What I like: The warrior mask - the character is blind per her bio (also black skin, red camo pattern on the face). Not having the fat stripe 2 pattern. The naughty halo (not shown)
What I don't like: I can't quite put my finger on it, I think everything just doesn't quite go together right. I wouldn't mind seeing a different color scheme either.
Hi guys. So, I'm not 100% sold on this one:
Her name is Cordyceps. For the nonmycologists among you, that's a disgusting, yet awesome, fungus that turns its host into a zombie slave. Like this. She's a mind control/spines dominator, with the mind control recolored browny-green to look like maybe it could be spores.
Any ideas?
I know this doesn't necessarily help you, but I think she looks pretty good as is. The "appendages" really resemble the fungus itself, and the zombie look goes along with her being taken over, at least in part, by the fungus herself.
What you may want to do, though, is give her a tattered robe or trench instead of the motorcycle jacket. Outside of that, I think she pretty much embodies (heh, pun) the concept you seem to be going for VERY well.

I also agree with your comments on flashrains' costume - Tattered cloak seems like it would probably be more fitting assuming she's been infected accidentally or against her will. On the other hand, if she is some wealthy scientist who was seeking these powers and did everything deliberately than the classier outfit used may be more appropriate... See, told ya I was decisive

I might give it a go tonight.
This is my version, I figure, the fungus takes a while to take over, so the body and clothes decomp.

Had a few minutes of free time so I thought I would try my hand at Burnt Matchstick. I tried to take a minimilist approach but envisioned a true matchstick.
I reused the Warrior #2 hat in keeping with your original vision but played with the colors a bit. I also added the small skull mask rather than the camo pattern effect. I didn't have the burnt halo in my arsenal so you will have to use your imagination there.
I used the studded collar to give a defined line between the strikehead of the outfit and the body.
On the body I tried to get some type of wood grain effect like a wooden match has. Useing the blast pattern on the sleek tights along with the thorn pattern for the gloves.
The bottoms are tights with the mesh pattern. The boots are simply tights with the same mesh pattern.
Just my interpetation... Enjoy.

This is a great thread 37, I may have some characters that need some help. I look forward to seeing what this thread does for others as well.

The idea behind the character is that she has a minor mutant-power control over fungus, so once she got infected with supercordyceps she was able to retain control over herself and take the fungus's abilities as her own, in return for which she supplies herself as a host.
Ohh, I like the sound of this thread. I'll try get a screeny of my Tanker tonight
That's it. The only thing I want to keep relatively the same is the head, the rest can be changed as long as it's in-keeping with the bio. Also keep in mind that there will be Magma Skinned Stone Armor toggles running
(Bio)
Everyone knew the mill was poorly run. The shifts too long, the men too tired and the machines too old. But it was the only work in town so every able bodied man shoveled coke and poured metal and hoped to live another day. The ore was cheap too, coming from abandoned and comdenmed mines worked by desperate men. There were... Impurities. Strange metals that glowed faintly, that released sickly clouds as they fell in the ovens. The workers would get sick, and keep working, becuase they had to.
Nobody knows why John Mill fell in the vats that day. They knew he had the sickness, that it was changing him. They knew he had lost his wife in childbirth, and that the child was a freak that day it drew it's first breath. Some said suicide; some said accident. They stopped the line, of course, but the heat that burns metal, melts bones. The body was never found. But the stories flourished.
They said old John Mill haunted the earth still, in a body made of ore and fists like hammers.. But who knows?
I see threads pop-up now and again asking for folks to help them come up with costumes, or how to improve existing costumes. I thought it might be beneficial to start a thread specifically for that purpose! And what better place to put it than here.
So, anyone who has a costume needing creation, or re-creation, post some thoughts here, and we (being whoever wants to) will hop on over and see what help we can give to ye, the seeker of fashion greatness.
Just remember a few things that'll help us along:
