I hate elevators...do you?
AAAARRRGH! I know! lol
Even doing the bny mish it happens when you run into the cave sometimes!
I still love my mm tho, it's not his fault, keep lovin your mm
Yeah, it has happened to me sometimes as well. I don't play my MM all that much, and it is very frustrating when it happens. I haven't had it happen in BNY yet, but I've only done it twice so far.
There's one office map that causes this every time - the elevator lobby leads into a square room with two little alcoves North and East if you're coming in from South, and an upper mezzanine floor.
The henchmen bolt straight North every time, often through a wall I think?
Yes, and it happens when you go into the bank in mahem missions (KR for sure) as well... annoying.
This is not a minor problem nor an inconvenience nor merely an annoyance. As far as I'm concerned, MMs are BROKEN and I'm avoiding them, by far my favorite AT, until something is done to fix this.
Just with BNY, maybe they enter the cave, maybe not. Maybe they move beyond the door when they enter the cave, maybe not. Dr Mike's example is even worse. I can use the Leadership icons to make sure everyone's with me. On the floor the doctor references, I'll see the icons, then engage the baddies, expecting BG to keep me alive, only to see health bar go down FAST.
I do love my MMs, all of them (6 50s). I can't wait to be able to play them again, but they're unplayable now.
Global = Hedgefund (or some derivation thereof)
And we will continue to see problems as the Devs try to mainstream MMs to make them more popular. I never liked the zoning change OR the AoE buff change OR the recharge change. All changes demanded by the nubs who never played the AT and could not see the big picture.

I've seen that bug resurface with my MM too. I assume it reared it's ugly head again with the implementation of that perma-buffed zoning pets. Makes me not want to play my MM. It gets real old resummoning pets if they get lost going through a door. They had it licked for awhile, so that's all I can figure.
MMs were unplayable before the upgrade powers were turned AOE. I tried a few times, but unless you enjoyed spending 10 minutes at the door summoning and buffing they were absolutely unplayable. A brute went THROUGH the map before you even STARTED the map. Only got a higher level MM when they buffed the buffs.

I find that if you resort back to the pre i16 way, ie dismiss pets when out of a mish, then recast in a new mish, there is less of a chance that pets get stuck when zoning within missions. I always dismiss pets after a mish anyway, as I find them more of a hinderance than a benefit out in the open playfield, when they're not being used.

How could you not like the aoe upgrade buff ? Granted the zoning change was just a cosmetic fix in my opinion but the aoe buff was great.

Yes it slowed down prep time in the beginning of the mission. But at the cost of maintaining midfight, not worth it IMO.
Actually, the best way I've found for dealing with the annoyance of my pets being too stupid to use an elevator? Outdistance them to it. (I'll doubleback a bit, have them follow me, then kick in Sprint or Ninja Run and reach the elevator a good 10 seconds before they do.) This way I'm up on the next floor and already moving before they get to it, and this GENERALLY means they then pop out without a problem (or else 'reappear' as if resummoned).
On the rare events where there's a spawn right next to the elevator, even if they do the stupid "running into nothingness", they seem to go, "Oh, threat!" and stop running off to stick around and fight.
It doesn't ALWAYS work, but it's helped.
The mass upgrade, though? Oh yeah. Love that. That they zone with me? I can take or leave, because sometimes they zone debuffed, and other times they don't zone at all.
But I still love the archetype.

I find the AoE upgrade to be nice.
Once I get stamina, it's not to much of a problem, and if my T2s and T1s are dying quick enough that it becomes a problem... well, I obviously have other things to worry about.
As of recent, I've only had elevator problems in Arachnos bases. I find though that just standing there after I come out of the elevator (don't you dare touch your movement keys!), I seem to run into the problem less. This may just be my imagination however.
My main annoyance is the zone debuff... It keeps happening... Baaah.

It hasn't slowed or stopped me from playing MM, I just have to make sure to ALWAYS carry blues with me -.-

The cost to summon and buff while in the middle of a fight. It hurt any endurance heavy secondary and forces the use of inspirations. IMO if is an inspiration is a must, something is broken. Inspirations are meant as a burst of power, I mean thats why they're called "Inspiration" in the first place.

They could give us both. How hard would it be to make every upgrade appear twice, or even just give us a way to macro a single target upgrade for when we need it.
Or, they could do an AoE target check on power cast. For every unupgraded minion in range, it takes off 7 end (since its 42 to upgrade all 6 unenhanced). Resummon one minion, target any of them, hit it, and it finds one minion, upgrades it, and costs 7 endurance.
Bam, Fixed. But MM quality of life seems to be pretty low on their priorities now that they listened to a problem and half ***** a solution.

Elevators are probably the same. If the bots don't have room to pop in, they get stuck. Just like the seekers and the prot bots had the same similar problem. Get out of their way, and they might well not get stuck, I'm generally running around enough that I don't ever seem to have the stuck problems, and when I do its usually just one bot. They never get stuck in elevators generally, usually i have my problems at mission entrances.
I'm a ninja mm, the undisputed masters of paper henchies.
Honestly, when I re-summon pets mid-fight, they don't get upgraded till things calm down. It's usually teir 1s, and their most useful regular attack is pre upgrade. The buffs are'nt Necessary to combat, just essential, like fitness and leadership in most builds. If I'm in the thick of things and fighting, I need my endurance, and they'll get by fine without their buffs and mitigate aggro/kill like they should without them too.

I really hope the pets going crazy isn't an intended change. This is just more of the old crazy pet problem that was around before the changes you mention. I would always have one (usually a tier 1) that would go crazy and break out and attack or run around like a nut even though they were on defensive follow.
So far dismissing pets before going into a mish and resummoning them does indeed appear to resolve the elevator problem..as far as I can tell. Pity.

had a couple of experiences where they have disappeared even when casting withing mishes, but they fix themselves fairly quickly
http://www.scene-and-heard.com/cov/covsig.jpg
the last couple of days I have begun to notice that when taking an elevator with my thug mm, the thugs are resummoning when on the next floor.
they did the running around like crazy thing for a sec, but when they ran through the wall like they shouldn't do, they just resummoned without me doing anything. the punks came out of nowhere looking around, and the enforcers came out of manholes again.
Has this been fixed? I'm pretty sure there have been no patches since the winter event started, can anyone confirm this? Maybe it's just a fluke?
Never had a problems with elevators. I tend to de-summon them before exiting, simply because it is a tad buggy, and I dont use them outside missions anyway.
What bugs the HELL out of me is how RETARDED Pet AI is.
Im sorry, I do NOT want my ******* Assault bot running up to a freaking KRONUS TITAN and punching it in the foot. Do. Not. Want.
I also do not want my Protector bots and drones running up and PUNCHING members of the Freedom Phalanx in the face during the LRSF. Tbh, it didnt matter, since they died so ******* quick anyway...That last mission is MM death. Pure and simple.
Pet A.I. as it is is retarded. Controlling them at all means turning offf bodyguard mode...then you dont need to worry about control, because either they die, or you die and ALL of them die.
Mega, mega frustrated right now.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Yup the pet AI is pretty bad at times. Ever tried keeping bots in 1 spot without moving? They simply cannot, unless you spam the stay command about 6 times. In fact I find my self spamming all my command macros several times before my pets actually do what I want.
MM = Macromasher
http://www.scene-and-heard.com/cov/covsig.jpg
It's because of the cycling of their moves isn't it? Eventually they have to randomly use brawl, at least that's how i have figured it. Being able to tweak the consistency of moves would be good so I could turn brawl off, or just take brawl away from them all. Why should an assbot punch anyway? He doesn't even have fists! And don't even get me started on the arsonist and his retarted cousin, Medic.....
So since i16 (from what I recall that's when it started), I've had repeated problems with my pets pretty much going nuts after going up an elevator. As in...running clear across the map aggro'ing everything they can and there's nothing I can do about it (none of my pet commands work except dismiss all). If I sit at the elevator long enough, they'll eventually come back to me (those that are still alive...they don't sit and fight stuff...they just run around randomly). Normally what I've done is quickly pressed my dismiss all button that I made (just for this), and then I'll sit there and write up a bug report and re-summon and re-setup. I've done the bug report probably 20 times since i16 came out (maybe more).
Frankly it's making me not want to play my MM's anymore. Am I the only one that's seeing this on a regular basis? It seems to happen on office maps the most. I assume this is related to the pet zoning changes that came with i16, but I'm almost at my wits end with it. I just would have thought that as long as i16's been out now, that this would have been fixed by now.
