What are YOUR reasons to Switch?

I was thinking of having my global namesake, Quantum Evil, decay into Quantum Goody-twogluons, but thought better of it.

My warshade's name is Small Medium. I'd be remiss if I didn't set him on the run from the law.

As of right now, I have a couple of Heroes who may switch. It really depends on what happens with the "ZOMFG Uber Pull your Jaw off the Game Breaking floor, we'll nerf the crap out of it later" reward they keep hinting at for not switching.

Personally, I really don't see any of my mains switching. I'll just make a few alts in the new Praetoria and play them till they decide who they want to be.

Of course, the other possible reason for switching would be to bail completely on redside so I could actually get my hands on enhancements that I need, that haven't been seen in game in months, or even ever for that matter in the Villain markets, that flow like cheap beer at a college kegger blueside. Then, they can go back to beating up self righteous pricks in the Rouge Isles.

Yes, I spelled it that way on purpose...

I got two characters that are going Rogue for story reasons.

Ghob-lin is a hyperactive mutated lizard. He's not evil but he's not good. He would save people or kill them on whims.

Dreg of Boomtown is a Lost who recovered his humanity he truthfully a Rogue Lost. So story wise it is logical he goes from red to blue.

I will be switching from red to blue in the higher levels cause the devs refuse to give villians any epics worth a damn.

The number 1 reason I'll be switching is so my ninjitsu stalker can get ninja stars.

You sure about this? We really aren't clear on how epics will work yet. And I know the devs are keen on making sure powers don't duplicate, so if you're banking on getting Weapon Mastery from Scrappers, there's an issue with Caltrops duplication.

I have only a few planned switches...

My Empath, Life Nova, was always fighting an entity that mended with her... As she got stronger, also the entity influence got stronger... and it showed as demonic details on her appearance, foreboding a fall from grace...

At the same time, her little sister, that also was mended with an entity and went kind of crazy with it, is learning to absorb pain from other people, and use it to restorative ways... So at the same time Anti-Life Nova will be redeemed...

Probably one of my MM will change too... Kaitlyn JMM or Psiforce Nova...

And I have a brute that always was a hero! Well, she was brain-damaged, so she actually believes that she is helping people... She is bound to be cured...

Although the longer time required makes having more TF's to do somewhat irrelevant, except that you have a wider variety to choose from when deciding to do a TF. However, unless you have an unusual definition of the word 'effort', TF's and SF's generally require the same amount of effort for the reward.

You can do 2 SF's in 3 hours and get approximately the same rewards as doing 1 TF in 3 hours. Now if you're doing both with PuGs, then i can see the SF's as requiring more effort since you have to form a team twice. If you set up a team for doing the 2 SF's back to back in advance, then it's about the same amount of effort.

Personally, i prefer running SF's on weekdays since i have less time to play during the week. On weekends i can usually set aside at least half a day to play when i do play, so some TF's are more appealing then.
In theory you are very correct about the execution times, once you have a team, sadly I find myself waiting for hours for a red team to finally compose to the darn SF. Blue side is a bit better, but if you add the grouping time, you will find blue side is by far a better merit to time deal.

I'm switching for one reason and one reason only...to re-create my Tank as a Brute and still be a hero.
