............you let your 6 year old (boy in my case) create toons on COH/V:

Giagan lvl 4 Dom plant/thorns

Stone Slayer lvl 14 Tanker Stone/earth

NegZ-500 lvl 16 Tanker ice/ice

Other Child lvl 7 Stalker claws/dark

Robot JeanLuc lvl 14 Scrapper claws/agility

Officer JeanLuc lvl 8 Blaster riffle/gadgets

As you can see he tends to pick certain tops, boots, etc. If I let him do it 100% they would all look like NegZ-500. I have to encourage him to pick different things.....

Do any of you have little ones you let create?

using my cell right now but I will post some when I get home. My daughters creations, she does a OK job, but she tends to make them a little trashy looking(way to much skin showing, drives my wife nuts), so my wife has to come and change a couple things to make them "presentable"

Triceth LVL 50 Ice/Storm Controller
Ghost Scrapper LVL 50 MA/reflexes Scrapper
Gespin LVL 44 Spine/Regen Scrapper
Treal LVL 41 Emp Defender
Radill LVL 41 Ill/Rad Troller

Those aren't bad, I have seen much much worse. Really cool letting him use his imagination like that!

I have to say this. It pains me to say this.

I've seen people make "OMGAWESOME" costumes that are infinitely worse than those. Tell your boy he's on the right track.

My son was 8 when I started playing and he made very similar toons. Little boys love robots! He now has his own account and his costumes are much better. But now everything he makes is similar to someone in a comic or video game so I have to keep an eye on him so he doesn't get banned. He also makes a lot of assassins and ninjas now.

Very cool! I just want to know how Jean Luc wedges himself into that armor! It's got to chafe something awful!

Hooks himself up to a Cerebro sized computer room and controls the robot through remote mental manipulation obviously!!

There's several instances where the differnt costumes for the same character are a bit... odd. But *shrug* logic comes soon enough. I wish I could disregard as easily as I did when I was a kid!

Gotta say, he does a good job picking one colorscheme and sticking with it. At that age I would be creating characters that looked like a rainbow puked on them XD

It's funny how all his picks are like toys. Color coordinated, so he can say he has a blue one, and a green one and the red one, which is hard to find, but I have it.

NegZ-500 is his response to Wing Zero from Gundam Wing.

I know the feeling, after letting my son watch X-Men Evolution he wanted to create Wolvereen and Nightcrawler, and call them by those names, I convinced him to do Other Child which cloaks like Nightcrawler and have Wolvereen claws....lol

He still keeps telling me he wants to make a Spiderman and I have to keep reminding him why he can't. lol

That's me helping with is color scheme. Coaxing him to keep it a couple of colors, Stone Slayer would've been blue, red, yellow, purple, with a hint of bright green if I didn't convince him on how good he looks with that blue and red.....now his second costume on the other hand.........yah, I kept telling JeanLuc "he uses stone and mud, do you want to keep it with that? He doesn't do anything with electricity." I didn't say anything about those colors though.....might use them for a toon of my own

Let him make a new one tonight, and don't give him any direction at all. No colours, no costume, no names, nothing.

I wish to see what grandeur his brain produces free of guidance. It will be glorious and I will high five him.

Good idea....he was asking for me to show him what to click etc....he'll still need help with reading but other than that I think he'll have no problem.

I'll have it probably around 10pm MST....sooo....check back if interested

Please do!!!

Anyone whose kid is creating toons please post!!!

I like seeing what kids come up with in this game, even though one of the ones I used to play with cause he was the SG leader's son didn't really have a good sense of style. I love seeing new artists in this game, as lacking the skills to draw the costume creator has become my creative outlet for these art forums.

Maybe I should post the costume my freind made when I handed the controls over to him for a CoX test drive.

I second this, even though he might come up with something close to NegZ again, unless that's not allowed from the get go, I'm interested to see what his imagination and creativity comes up with. One never knows yknow?

And with anything costume related, it's a nice way to find inspiration, either for little details or accents, or even in the case where you've got your next costume slot and yer stumped for a costume idea.
