active toons do you have on average? Just out of curiosity. I have 6.

Kinda an appropriate answer for the forum - I have more than 6 Blasters alone.

I haven't counted recently, but I know I have one of every Primary, some multiples to match different secondaries.

I've been playing characters ten at a time for a while.
I made two groups of ten characters and levelled them together in mix and match pairs dual boxing, mostly by myself, sometimes with a teammate or two. One such group made it to 50 in just under a year.

I've recently rediscovered the joy of playing a single character in large teams.

So I think that means I've got 11 characters on the go, one group of ten, one single.

Admittedly the Ar/fire and the Arch/dev are kind of stalled but the rest are at 50.

Edit and I am planning on starting a fire/elec soon as I can decide what to delete. I am thinking a defender or a tank is going to get the axe.

I have six, only one of them is a blaster (but he's my favorite).

2 at most, usually one. I like varying my level of safety and team focus, so usually an AT that shines on teams (Blaster/Defender) and a scrapper.

Honestly though I tend to obsess over whatever current build I'm running until it's about 40-50 (choose to IO or not) and then play an old character, and then reroll a new one.

I have almost all my character slots on Virtue filled... about half of those are blasters lol

However, I would say I've only been "active" with 3... two of those are blasters lol

I like to blow stuff up.

My main is a Blaster, and I have 3 others. My favorite AT's are Blaster and Warshade.

About 14 I haven't deleted. Two I'm playing, an elec/elec blaster and an ill/rad controller.

I also acknowledge this is in the wrong forum, but posted anyway.

Edited to add: My one 50 is a MA/Inv Scrapper that I am totally sick of.

14 characters total, half-dozen or so that get played frequently, the others occasionally (when there's a reason to log them in).

All but three are blasters.

Both my 50s are blasters.

I have at most two active toons at any given time.

Depends on how you define "active". I usually focus on one or two characters at any given time (with the exception of occasional Hami raids on a 50) but I change which characters I'm focusing on often. I have three 50s, another half a dozen or so in the high 30s - low 40s, and around twenty in the mid levels. None of them are really retired, but some only get played a week or so at a time and then are shelved for a year or more. I also generally don't play 50s unless I'm trying to farm inf or am doing a Hami / Mothership raid so most of the time I have one or two characters being actively leveled up and one occasional raid character.

Though since Dragon Age has come out, my active CoX character count has been pretty much zero...

Usually my only active toon is the one I'm leveling. If I'm bored I'll run a tf/sf on one of my 50's.

I have about 5 that I'm active with.

Currently I'm leveling a Fire/Regen scrapper, he gets most of my play time these days. Level 28 after about 2 weeks, 90% solo. (That's pretty good given my limited playtime these days)

My Fire/Fire is parked in RV with a PvP build set up, my Sonic/Devices is languishing.

I'm running about 4 lowbies concurrently, put a level or two on one, switch toons, put a level or two on that one, switch toons, etc.

I do not keep characters I do not enjoy playing every now and then even at level 50, so all my 32 toons are at least semi-active. That is not counting the small (in every regard ) fire/fire blaster that stays in the tutorial zone in case a friend needs a hand killing mobs for the Isolator badge.
The remaining three slots for the server are used for pretorian placeholders.
